Relationships are about making compromises. Things cannot always be one way. Sometimes the compromise that you make can be as little as deciding what movie to watch or what to order for dinner. Other times it can be large. What's the biggest compromise you've made in a relationship?

I have compromised my dignity, pride, and self worth for one girl at one time but never again. We were together for 2 years, and i was actually debating popping the question in the future and suddenly every thing fell apart, she wound up sleeping with one of my supposibly good friends.
I beat him silly and broke up with her. I tried to stay away from her after that but she woudlnt leave me alone, she seemed sincere in here apologies, and sorrow. She would keep calling me, showing up at my work and home to talk and beg for forgivness.
I ignorantly gave in and we gave it another go only to have it blow up in my face when 8 months later she slept with a guy i couldnt stand to begin with.
Thus, i compromised my heart, dignity, pride, and very soul for this girl. But never will i put so much on the line again. EVER.

I'm not sure really how to respond to this. You see, I have the tendency to give too much--I've lost some relationships and a lot of opportunities for relationships because I was viewed by the fairer gender as too spineless...

My compromises are little so far, but I am expecting a big one. If I am going to get married with this boyfriend, I will have to make a compromise of moving to another country and start a new life, giving up all my establishments here. That would be pretty big to me!
