some help please

How can I stop my dog from chewing things up in the kitchen during the night he has lot's of toys in there with him but he will just find anything he can to chew he is a labrador cross springer spaniel and is 5 months old. he can also reach things on the side how can i stop him doing this?

Brittany Spaniels seem hard ot break of this habit.Patience will be your virtue.What we did with our dog was we got him alot of those raw hide chews . We would praise him every time we saw him chewing on those. At night we would lock him into the laundry room or a crate with a raw hide chew. It took him a few months of doing this but he has stopped for the most part.He has had a couple of lapse but I can handle a few mistakes every once in a while.

He doesn't like raw hide chews but i will try thank you for your response

I think there is a spray for that. You spray it on wood stuff to stop them from chewing. I think probably some hot sauce or lemon juice might work too.

What you need to do is when he has done it show him and tap him on the Nose with a News Paper and tell him no
He is still a Puppy and they can do this up to 12 months old so get a hold of it now
I hope it works I know it did for my Labrador a few Years ago well 12 years ago lol
