For me, mylot is useful because:
1. it serves as a channel between friends (even if you don't even know personally who they are)
2. i can express my ideas (even nonsense ones) in this site and still get positive replies
3. i meet friends and other people sharing the same ideas with me
4. i fell in love with this site and its members
