Information Technology (IT) - Is it a Boon or Bane? We all know IT has revolutionized everyone in every part of the world. Internet Banking, Computerized Reservation systems etc. But all this have come with a price rise. The metros have seen sharp increase in the prices of the essential commodities. The Software folks can manage it however the middle class or the other class people down could not afford to pay a huge price because of which they have to go for lower quality. The land rates have really gone high, it is almost impossible for a person working in the government sector to buy a house of his choice. What do you think? Is IT changing lives of people for better or is it making worse?

certainly IT is a boon to our world
U said everything would come with price rise yeh its something right? But matter is we should cooperate with IT revolution as well as IT price increasing bcz we can't able to purchase good product for less price can we? So disadvantage may with advantage so keep the track of both

IT has a direct corolation between bringing average prices down while also evolving our own technological know-how.
The reason it brings the price down is because everything is more automated. Instead of having bob and joe and bill all have to check up on the widget maker every day a computer can do it instead. This means since there is no bob, joe, or bill they do not have to be paid and therefore either the cost of the widget goes down or the quality of it goes up.
Worried about joe, bob, and bill's getting a job somewhere else? Well, if that widget was made effecient enough it might be used to make other widgets which could not have been made by joe, bob, and bill. Instead joe, bob, and bill will be employed in a job where there used to program the machines instead of act like one.
There's my two cents (literally).
