Buy an icecream maker! They are quite pricey, but the high end ones are true fire-and-forget, you just throw all the ingredients in and press a button. No messing about with frozen bowls, no stiring or mixing.
Having said that, it is very interesting looking at the very old devices that people used to use to make icecream in Victorian times. Shows how far we have come!

In the freezer, you need a shallow container into which you put your mix (try a tub of yogurt for a quick first go, we also use milkshake, cream that sort of thing as well as following proper recipes). Let is start to freeze for about half an hour then stir it well, stir every half an hour until its set. Then, before you eat it, take it out and let it soften enough to get the spoon through it. Different freezers make freeze faster or slower, so you have to experiment with how often to stir as it freezes Thats all there is too it in the simplest form.

I have an ice cream maker. It came with a recipe book to make different kinds of ice cream and yogurt to make. You just put the ingredents in the maker. add lots of ice and salt around the canister and turn it on. it takes hours to make, but it is sooo good. Look on ebay, you can probably find one for sale on there.
