When I first came here it was about the money, how about you? I have now grown past that, I am here for my friends. I have made a few good friends here, a few good acquaintences here, and a few who I don't necessarily trade comments with but enjoy reading some of their posts. I feel fortunate that I can be involved in an internet "family".
For instance, (see if you can guess if it's you). I have a friend who seems to be an new, unsure-of-herself mother. But from what I can tell from her posts, she is a very god mom. There's one that is very intellegent, creates briliant, well thought out posts that are sometimes very controversial. She loves her family though, you can tell. There's the woman who I give alot a credit to for many reasons, but mostly an incident that she has handled with great valor. A man and his wife who lost a loved one, but are very interesting and funny too. The woman who loves nascar more than I do. By the way, thanks for always keeping me updated! One who seems genuinly sweet, and nice and always has a positive word. She also likes news on Anna Nicole:p The woman who has back pain, but still manages to come and see her friends. And there are many more.
The point of this post? I just wanted all to know how you have come to be my friends. I also want others to know what I feel this site is about - more than the money you make. How easy it is to get to know someone. At least on an internet level. Do you have this with your mylot friends? Or are you here just for the money? What made you join in the first place?

Hey sweets - I count you amongst my mylot friends and I am very proud to say so! If I am totally honest a friend and neighbour introduced me to mylot and told me how many wonderful people were here and that you could also earn a bit of money! Curiosity brought me here and friendship kept me here! I hhave experienced so many emotions here on mylot in just over a month I could not list them all - I have also received so much support and encouragement it has kept what little sanity I have left with me! Great discussion honey, thanks for starting it! xxx

Hi sweetie, how are you feeling? Did you guess that you were one of my friends I described in the discussion?

I'm brand new here and have only posted a handful of times. My motivation? Not really money, I just thought it would be fun to read other peoples thoughts and possibly make new friends. So far, I only have one...and that's the one that referred me...but I hope to grow on that. I figure the best way is to just jump in and say what's on my mind when i see a discussion that looks interesting to me. I look forward to getting to know everyone here, and for you to get to know me. I'm still trying to figure out how to get around here and change things on my home page..that's gonna take some time, but otherwise, I'm already feeling pretty comfortable :D

Yeah I wanted a few bucks. I am not here "just" because of the money...if it was just about the money I'd be doing something I HATE, but instead MyLot has offered to pay me for what I do anyway. What the heck is wrong with that? I don't have a problem with people being here to make a few bucks... isn't that why we go to work every day? Would we really do the jobs we do if it wasn't for the money? Would we do it all for fun? With MyLot we are being paid for something we love to do anyway, so why worry about it?

I've only been here a short time, but I've already made some friends. Most of the people here are very friendly and many of the discussions are interesting and thought provoking. My pet peeve though is those who come here to hawk their referral sites. Other than that this is a great place to come to meet people and make a few extra bucks.

I honestly haven't been here long enough to really get to know very many people on these forums. I found this site by chance and it seemed like a really interesting site to discuss various topics on. I then learned that it also paid. I remember thinking to myself, well would you look at that? I can visit here during my free time, indulge in inspiring topics, and make a bit of change. It was perfection in the disguise of a website for me. I hope in the future I'll be able to meet such wonderful people as you have, it sounds like they're friends worth cherishing. Cheers!

Well I just joined to make some extra money to save for remodeling our home and eventually adopting a baby (cause it seems I can't have my own). But after a while I really developed strong relationships with my mylot friends. It actually has taken me by surprise! I didn't expect it but I am glad it happened. It's so nice to have people that share the same beliefs as me - or at least close to the same beliefs as my own. There are a hand full of mylot friends that I've really grown to love and that I feel I have a spiritual connection with. And for me to say that - that really means something. I think they know who they are without me saying :)

Thank you so much :) That's very sweet of you. I know who ever has my child though - it won't matter to me.

I'm glad you have made such good friends here. I am sorry to hear about you not being able to have a child. God works in mysterious ways. The child you end up adopting will be very lucky.

Honestly I joined for the money too though I had no idea how much was being paid out. I came across mylot by accident and I stay at home so was looking for good online opportunities. One thing that impressed me about this site is the looks of it, its not like the other boring discussion sites, where you can nothing but tables and tables of discussions...I'm sure you've seen it too. Here everything looked so good and interesting and I didn't think twice before joining. I was skeptical the first month unsure if we would really get paid, but a lot of users here were showing proof of payment. It took me a week or two to get the hang of this place..what works and what doesn't ..hehe I joined on Dec.4th.The first friend I made is no longer active and she wished me "Happy Holidays" right before she left for Christmas. I was touched and was immensely surprised that a stranger who hardly knows me and doesn't even know my real name could mean so well for me. That's when it hit me that mylot is not all about the money but a lot more than that. It's been 5 months since I joined and not a day has gone by without logging on to mylot. I have been coming back for my friends and their discussions. This is my first online participation and it feels great to have such wonderful friends. I still can't believe strangers who meet on a common forum can become bonding friends:)

Hi there. Like you, I started out here on myLot to earn some money but after some weeks, my objectives were shifting more to the friends I have made here. I really appreciate the faithful ones who always try to respond to my discussions and are genuinely concerned about me well-being. Lately, I seem to be sending and getting more messages than doing discussions and responses, lol. This makes myLot more than just a money earning site. I feel I have gained much more than money can buy - friends and friendship.

I came across this site one day and seen how cool it was and that is why I started here. but for me it is all about the friends not just the ones on my list but everyone. this is such a great place to be and there is so much love flow here and somedays I am just lost if I can be on here and see what is going on. it really is not about the money because I have a job.

I ran across mylot when I was looking for an EIN on an old employer and thought what the heck, I'll give it a try. Now I'm on here all the time, and even my hubby says it's great that I found something that has renewed my interest in the internet. I never really thought about the money, but when I hit pay out I am happy. I also consider alot of the people here my internet "family", and during the course of the day thing "so & so would find this funny." I don't know who started this site, but kudos to them!

Well, i joined mylot because there was this craze about it everywhere over the internet. Everyone on many forums was talking about mylot, and people were like, posting their referral links everywhere. SO i decided to join mylot. I will be honest here, and say that my main reason for joining mylot was the money that came with it. However, since a few days past, i've grown to like the community, and even if they were to stop paying, i would still be active here. Although i dont have many friends in here, and i've been inactive for the past month or so, it's just a matter of time before i make some great friends in here!

When I joined mylot, it was not necessarily for the money. I used to work. I got involved with many companies and had been through varied jobs. The last one was as an economist, I was working for a government agency involved in socio-economic planning. After years of being self-employed, running a small farm, I miss the things I used to do in that last job. Making project proposals, project studies, justifications for the implementation of various projects, etc., everything involved planning and everything that goes with it. There was so much play with words, meeting people and all the works to get a project implemented. I miss the works after sometime and I tried my hand here in mylot because I surmised that, it is fun sharing ideas. And as for ideas, I have plenty of them. So I joined in, in the hope that my ideas shall still be put to use. Yes, it was not so much for the money, it was more for an outlet of how and who I am.
