This is a really good idea to do before you take that final plunge and get married. Divorce is an ugly and expensive thing.
Make sure you know your fiance well, and realize that the changes you see now will only continue as your relationship changes, ages and grows. Don't think that you can change him once you get married - it won't happen. Do some serious reflection on where things are headed before its too late. Talk things through together. See what you both expect out of the relationship, and marriage. You really don't want any surprises down the road. By talking things through it can help your relationship grow and be better.
Much happiness...

Its ironic that I came across this discussion. I just went through this with my man last week. We were so miserable and I wanted to leave because I pondered this very thought. I changed my mind after we had a fight, then a ling discussion over what we want. I found that all of the things I wanted by leaving him I could get even if I stayed. I just didn't feel like I could have the life I wanted by being with him. He is an entrprenuer and we haven't had financial security or even a family life style.
We are working on rerouting our path. Hopefully it works out in the next few months. I don't want to end up repeating this again.
