Do you love the smell when baking cakes or buns

There's nothing better than the smell of home made cooking! My nan and her daughter my mum are great bakers and were always making homemade cakes the smell that used to waft up would have me watering at the mouth, I would always go down and try one, even when they had just come out of the oven, many a time I've burnt my mouth because they were too hot. When I was a child I used to lick out the mixing bowl.

I love that smell myself espically when I go into a bakery and smell the fresh cookies and cakes. I like making them myself also.

i really can't keep my hand out of the hot bun or cake which i baked. Even while baking them the smell really makes me can't wait to see them ready. It just a nice fresh smell and always makes my mouth watering. What i will do when the smell start to come out over my oven i will come and check the cake from the glass just to make sure that they are ready soon.

Oh yes, I do love the aroma of baking. I can't bake myself and I am full of envy for those who can make their own cakes or breads at their own whims. *sniff* So when I walk past confectioneries or cake shops that are baking stuffs, I might linger a bit and pass them slower if I am not in a hurry. :D

OOH I love the smell of something baking in the oven.Good for you to make fresh hot cross buns at home.I love the smell of fresh bread the most.When I was pregnant,I would ask my husband to take me grocery shopping and then sending him on the errand with the trolley,I would stand in the bread aisle,taking in all the smell of the fresh warm breads and buns and rolls.Even now when I bake cakes,my mouth starts watering.One time I was baking an apple cake with cinnamon streusel topping and the smell permeated the whole house.I could hardly wait to eat that cake.I think you have inspired me to bake some hot cross buns tonight!:)

well...till date i havnt found a person loving da smell...i cant wait to take out the cake from da oven n eat it all up...at times i feel i can survive on cakes n baked stuff like it....well...even responding to dis topic makes me feel so hungry....m longing for a cake now...dats da wonder of the sweet smell of baking a cake...

I really love the smell!!! It's not that it makes me want to eat them that much, it's just the smell. It makes me feel good for some reason. I read somewhere that if you're trying to sell your house and have an open house for people to visit, it's a good idea to bake some cakes or cookies because it makes people start with a positive feeling. I don't doubt that this is true :)

yes, i love the smell a lot. i generally bake cakes only at home and i just love the smell of it .

I just love the smell of everything that is baked. And I just can't resist it if it's fresh from the oven. So when I bake cakes and pastries, I always get the first bites. :)

Yes, I love the smell of fresh-baked goods. I love them so much that I've bought candles that have those same scents and light them in the kitchen so it smells live I'v been baking.

there's nothing that smells better then baking breads,rolls, yummmmm reminds me of my grandmother,she always was baking stuff.. :)
