Hi! Isn't it just frustrating anymore, the way toy companies package toys? First there are little plastic trays, then there are rubber bands, then there are twist ties and plastic holders, then everything is taped together with packing tape, that is if you can even get the blasted box open! Grrrrr! It takes 20 minutes to get the toy out, and by then, the child has lost interest. Does this make anyone else mad? Thanks for letting me rant! :-)

I hate toy packaging as well. Absolutely ridiculous! Those twist ties are everywhere and even the tiniest little thing is tied down. My kids got roboraptors for Christmas last year and i had to actually unscrew some screws just to take it out of the package. It doesn take forever to get the toy out.

TOTALLY! My sister bought my nephew one of those big TMNT toys so my nephew was all excited and when we tried to open it, it was filled with all these tape and little plastic twists. Needless to say, when we finally finished unpacking the toy, my nephew wasn't THAT excited anymore.

Rant away. Our grandson's 6th birthday was not long ago and we had to deal with so much packaging. The landfills are filling fast from all of the wasted materials that are used for packaging. Unfortunately packaging sells the product. It is what the manufacturer relys on to sell its product.

Yes, this makes me mad. Then after I have finally managed to unpack whatever it is, I have to sort all the packaging and decided which part of the packaging I can recycle. If the box is made of hard cardboard, I have to bash it up so that I can fit it into the recycle bin because this is only collected once every month. And after all that, the child will probably be more interested in the box than the toy as is what usually happens in my family.

I agree that it is frustrating. I just bought a radar detector for my car and couldn't get it out of the packaging without the help of my trusted Swiss Army Knief.
And if you're not careful, you can easily cut yourself from the hard plastic.
I try to open the package as carefully as possible in case I have to return it to the store.

Not just toys, it's all wrapped that way!! A few months ago I got a bottom warmer for my laptop, and it was packaged so "well" that I cut my finger on the plastic trying to open the dam thing. Boy was that annoying, and my poor finger hurt for days!! Stupid packaging!!!

Not only do they cause damage to the world by filling our land fills BUT in the 20 minutes you are trying to get the toy out you have an impatient little person who can't wait till you get it open. AND they make sure you know they are losing patience!
I haven't had the child lose interest though.

Toy packaging is absolutely rediculous!!
The tape they use needs scissors to cut through and the half a million twist ties are enough to make you scream! LOL
Then there is my four year old special needs son yelling "help, help, help..." as he can not wait!
Not to mention the garbage bag full of un-recylable type plastic and styrofoam!

LOL, interesting! :P
And do you know that the packaging actually costs more than the toy sometimes? Or it at least costs a fair percentage of what you are paying. :PP
