I was dating a guy a few years ago. We had been living together for about 2 years, everything seemed to be fine between us and he seemed really happy.
One morning, I got up before him and went to check my emails and the first one I received was from him saying I think we should stop seeing each other.
At the time I thought it was a really gutless thing to do especially as we were living together.
Whats the worst way you have been told you are dumped?

as a girl, the worst is...the crush of my friend likes me than her then my friend told me that why all of her crush always looking for me.. I've done nothing.. I don't know why they likes me.. then my friend gpt angry with me and said "I'm over", she don't want me to be her friend anymore.. What a very simple reason to lose her friend...

My worst was my high school boyfriend. I was supposed to go over to his house after school. It had all been planned out ahead of time so I had no other ride home. We got to the last class of the day and I mentioned something to him about meeting him at his car. He gave me this blank look and said "Oh, I forgot. I've been seeing someone else and she's coming over tonight. Guess I forgot to tell I was breaking up with you." And then I still couldn't get a ride and HAD to go home with him and wait for his date to get over before he'd drive me home.

That is just horrible. Beeing dumped on an email while living together.
I would be really pissed off.
I´ve never been dumped actually - both of my long realtions have been a mutural understanding that it is no longer working and we have taken the decision together...

Breaking up is never easy, no matter how it is done. For me the worst was the guy just stopped calling or receiving my calls. I couldn't even reach him at his workplace. It was really heartbreaking. He didn't even say anything, by word or letter or even email for that matter. It was like he cut me off totally when he decided to break up with me. How cruel can some people get!

I got home from college one day and when I opened the door to our flat, I knew I'd been dumped.
All his stuff was gone, my bags were all packed up and he'd just left a note to say that I'd better find somewhere else to live cos the rent had only been paid up to that date.
He must have planned it for ages beofre but I had no idea. Never ever saw or heard from him again

I borrowed $300 from my mother to (lend) to my boyfriend, who said he'd pay it back a week later, but that WEEK turned into 4 months and my mother was getting pretty upset and so was I, so I said I HAVE to have that money before the end of the month. Well he went to work and never came home again! Two weeks later I recieved a check in the mail from him with a note that said (IT's OVER)! I guess he didn't like it when I had to ask when he was going to pay that money back! Oh well, no great loss, at least he paid me back!

That is awful, that is basically the cowards way out, why couldn't he have confronted you about it, and talked it through, I mean two years is a long time in any relationship be it straight or gay especially in today's society, but the fact that you were actually Living together makes it even more gutless as you rightfully say. Sadly communication is either dying out or technology saves us from using words! I have never been dumped to be honest not after a lengthy relationship, sure I've had one night stands and temporary 'relationships' which have ended. But none as bad as your experience. At the end of the day it's his loss and you're more of a man than he is.

I know he regretted it in hindsight. We continued to share the same house for a good while afterwards until I met someone else.
I remember Id been out with my new boyfriend and when we got back home, my ex was in a really depressed mood - wondering why he couldn't get a boyfriend etc. As he got more depressed, he got more angry with me and I decided that was enough and moved out that night.
What did he do? Rang my friends and family begging them to ask me to reconsider because he didn't want to live without me.

the worst way i have seen (luckily it wasnt me but unluckily it was one of my friends).
his girlfriend calls him for a dinner. They go out in a nice restaurant have dinner, make love that night and the next morning she makes him coffee and tells him they shud part? i mean WTF????? he cudnt believe his ears. and the reason was she is not sexually satisfied and the last night make out was a last try she wanted to give. Sometimes I laugh at the incident but the poor fellow ....alas!

Thats just being a coward in my opinion. If you weren't living together it might not even be as bad but ... no still a coward!
The worst "break up", for me, actually happened when I was in high school. I had been dating this guy for about 6 months...really liked him, and we got along great. We had been out on a Saturday night and had a great time..or so I thought.
Sunday morning I phoned him and he sounded preoccupied, he told me was doing laundry so I said "call me back later". I'm still waiting for that phone call ! LOL, no not really...I'm now happily married with 2 kids. Just another one of those times you can thank God for unanswered prayers.

I think it is bad decision made by your counterpart. If there is any chance discuss with him over the issue directly or indirectly, and come to a conclusion. What a man/woman he is?

He simply stopped seeing me and left me in a quandary. He never confessed the real reason. I was quite young then, but I eventually got over the misery as I had other admirers.

I was with my first lover for three years. During that period, she would flirt with other women, hold their hands and even let them sleep in the same bed with her. She always told me she was just being their friend, nothing more. Of course, it upset me, but I loved her so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. When I befriended a woman that just wanted someone to talk to, and it turned out to be me, I was accused of sleeping with her and all sorts of things. I tried talking to her about it, but she just up and walked out on me, never to be seen again. She left me with the burden of an expensive apartment, which I left as soon as the lease was up. While I was still there, her brother would come and flatten all my tires. She found out and called me one day to say sorry, but he is upset with me. HE IS UPSET WITH ME???? After I left that apartment, I never heard from nor saw anyone in her family again, including her. I guess she never really did say good-bye, but I did get the message!

when somebody says "I can't see you anymore"
and says
"don't think about why, it won't be good for your Karma"
something like that I think it was

I guess it would be with my first boyfriend. He told me that he rather be with someone that would give it up to him. At that time it was the worst thing that I heard but now that I think back it's not that bad. I guess that's why I never got dumped again but I was the one to dumped them before they had a chance to dump me.

well i've only been in one serious relationship and while we get along now, the actual ending was pretty bad. see, we live in different states and pnce again i was complaining that we didn't get to see each other that much. there's more to it than this but that's a long drawn out story. anyway, my ex basically told me over the phone that it was over, which believe me sucked really bad. so i cried for about a week, and am noe slowly getting over it.
