A knitters junction..!!

Lately many of my friends and relatives have asked me to convert my hobby of artworks and knitting into a source of income so am thinking of making a web site dedicated to such stuff.. what i am planning is a community where ppl of similar interests can meet and exchange ideas.. a place wher ppl can not only see what is up for sale but also sell their own projects.. Plz. give some more suggestions on this and help me.. what else shall i include in this..

The idea you are toying with right now is perfect. Go ahead with it and don't dilly dally. As to more features which maybe added on to the site, don't worry about it. They will come as suggestions will pour out from your clients and the users of your site. Just think in terms of how mylot has grown and is continuously improving because of the inputs given by the users.

Here is a forum I am on that has blossomed into a great resource. The initial set-up is free, but this one got so big, eventually they switched to the paid format. http://b16.ezboard.com/bpaleoplanet69529 This should give you some ideas of how you could do your own.

I don't have any suggestions but I think that its a great idea:) and the free forums suggestion is great - keep us posted if your progress.

i think a knitters junction would be an awesome idea i would like to sell some of the things that i knit because i am really good at it and i sure could use the extra income i have tried to teach myself to make my own website before but no such luck i could not figure it out maybe i will have to look into it again i hate selling my stuff at a yard sale because i never get the price that it is worth and do not even make enough to cover materials but a web site would be a good idea i think you should include a newsletter and a joke of the day on your website
