Our cat Wilbur loves to wake me up early in the morning around 4:30 or 5:00 to go out if he has spent the night in the house. One morning this week he woke me up about 4:30. The funny thing is, he always stands in our bedroom doorway and lets out a loud MEOOOW. I think he is afraid I won't hear him, Ha! Ha! This particular morning when I got up expecting to let him out instead he headed toward the kitchen which connected to our laundry room. He knows the laundry room is where his food bowl is. The little stinker decided he was hungry at 4:30 in the morning! I made sure he had food and laid back down. Just as I was getting back to sleep, maybe 15 minutes later, I was awakened by another MEOWWW. This time he was ready to go out.
He is really a precious cat!!

My cat doestn't meow, maybe he thinks I am too dumb to understand him, when he want to go out in the early hours of the morning he jumps up on the side table and nudges my pillow, very gently...they are so clever aren't they.

That is absolutely adorable!! I love hearing these kitty cat stories!! Your cat seems to be saying "I don't want to bother you but I really need to go out." That is so sweet!!

He sounds lovely and a typical cat that knows his own mind. He sounds very precious to you. We got a cat today and she is beautiful. She is a bengal she is already making us know her will. When I was putting her food out she was making such a noise so loud and she also likes splashing in water. We got her from a cat rescue place and she had been left out for 3 months in a pen outside. I think that is so cruel. Well we have her now and she is special too and we have already fallen in love with her.

One of my cats wakes me up by patting my face with her foot. She doesn't use her claws, so it doesn't hurt, but it bugs me enough to wake me up. She does the same thing to my husband when she wants him to wake up. The cats are great backups to the alarm clock. They usually wake my husband up about 15 minutes before the alarm goes off. If he forgets to set the alarm, then they are there and wake him up. I think that they are starting to understand that there are weekends, because they let us sleep in a little bit on the weekends. Not for very long, but it almost seems like they know that there are days to sleep in. LOL

Wow your kitty has you very well trained! LOL Our older male cat is very loud and demanding too. If we do not put him out on his porch before bed he lets us know in NO uncertain terms he is NOT amused! He will wake us up by meowing a very loud long drawn out whining kind of meow. If that doesn't throw us up out of bed immediately he will get up on the bed and stomp on our heads till we let him out! LOL
