Do you believe in ghosts?

I just had a very odd experience. I put my son down to bed and he was up talking and laughing, which he does sometimes. Then he started to call for me, which he never does. When I went in, the room seemed very dark, although the light was on and I was going to his crib and stepped on a ball. Now, I distinctly remember moving that ball because I thought I might step on it in the night if I had to go in. It had been put with his other toys on the other side of the room. My son sleeps in a crib and can´t get out just yet, so it is a very weird thing. What do you think? Am I just senile or do things like this actually happen?

I think that many people would deny any intraction like you've mentioned out of fear that someone would laugh at them.My son is really scared of my bedroom walk in closet. He is 7yo and he can tend to be a scardy cat, so we don't really pay much attention. Well one day I sent him to my room to put something in my closet and next thing I know, he is screaming his head off. I go in there and he says something in the closet grabbed him. His jacket hood was ripped off and lay on the floor in front of the closet, but the door was now closed. I figured he got hooked on a hanger or something and freaked out, but there was nothing there for him to get hooked on. I went in the closet and talked to the air really, and told whoever or whatever it was to leave my son alone or I would hire a priest to do an exorcism. I did this to make my son feel better. I too have seen shadows in my apt, one time it was late at night on my day off, I saw something out of the corner of my eye in the hallway, that I believed was my eldest son. I went to see and my son was fast asleep. I saw it again a few minutes later so I sent my husband. My husband does not believe in ghosts or anything of that nature. As he neared the hallway, he got goose bumps and all the hair on the back of his neck stood up. Even he was freaked out. So I guess I could say, yes I believe. Do I think my son was grabbed by something, my mind says no, but I really don't have an answer for that one.

It is about midnight here now and I got quite spooked reading this. That was a very clever thing to have done to help your son. Do you still live there?

No, they are not real. Are you 100% sure you moved the ball or did you just think to move the ball so hard that you got distracted for a second and didn't move it but in your mind you did? The ball could have rolled back somehow to. I know sometimes when I put a ball down it rolls by itself but it has nothing to do with ghosts or spirts or anyhting like that. So, no you're not senile and no there are no such things as spooks.

I am fairly sure that it couldn´t have moved back on its own since it was in the middle of a bunch of other toys. Which is why it seemed odd to me. Obviously, in the middle of the floor, it could just roll back on its own and I wouldn´t have thought much of it.

I don't believe in ghosts, I believe that there are evil spirits lurking around on earth but they're not ghosts of full human beings. Many many years ago Lucifer actually was allowed by God to release demons onto our earth and these demons resembled giant humans. These "giant humans" mated with real humans and the spirits of these offspring are what roam the earth as trapped evil spirits and this is why when someone actually sees one they look take human form! This subject is very interesting, you should look into it more closely!

I definitely believe in ghosts. It is very possible that there is a spirit that lives or frequents your home. My daughter had a similar experience as a small child. She used to laugh and talk to herself (or so I thought) and I really started listening and I finally questioned who she was talking to, I thought she had an imaginary friend. She told me that it was a nice old man who played with her toys. I again just thought it was an imaginary friend, but all of this time since we moved in to this house, I felt like something was there with us when we were alone. I always saw shadows out of the side of my eye or I even had the hair on the back of my neck stand up and chills everytime I went upstairs where the bedrooms were. It only happened up there. It was really creepy! So, yeah, I definitely be in ghosts.

Thank you GuateMom for telling us your experience. Let us know if anything else happens. I hope you did not mind me adding comments as I read through. The replies you got were so interesting I could not resist. I am interested in ghost stories but have never had an experience myself or known of one. It is the first time today I have read personal experiences.
I am reading this at about midnight and my husband was supposed to be in bed. He just came into the room with me and almost frightened the life out of me! I wonder if I would have been a ghost to him afterwards!

I totally believe in ghosts. I have ever since I was little. I have always had a six sense about them and have been able to tell when they are near. They say that children and pets can see more than we do because of their innoccence. You never know your son may have seen someone who wanted to play with him and it scared him.

Ghosts are true in the essence that they are demons in the apparition of a person that could be known to you or not. But if someone will tell me that the ghost of a certain person is that person himself, that I don't believe. In your case, it could be that there are evil spirits roaming around in your vicinity. Don't worry, they are always living with us. To be safe, hold on to your faith. Pray and always ask for God's protection. Read the Bible and know more of God.

I totally don't believe in the existence of ghosts as I never have such experience. I know somebody say that the children and infants can see something like ghosts which we can't see. But I remember that there is not a similar thing happened in my infanhood, and I never hear such a weird thing from my Mom.

Actually yes i do beleive in ghosts. Sounds kind of odd but seriously havent you ever had a moment where you know something weird is there but you just cant see it. Also after that moment its not worth telling anyone because they will laugh at you so yeah I do believe in them.

No I do not.
It can be scientifically explained.
Maybe you did not put it away.
Maybe it rolled away from the other toys due to it being stacked in an unstable order.
I won't believe until I see it, and that when I do it can't be scientifically explained.

I do believe in ghost as well cos i think i've seen shadows before in the office where i worked. Its really scary to experience this kind of stuff. It is possible that kids see things which we cant. It is possible that what you think was real but if you're in doubt try to try some thing with the ball, it could be that it rolled over when you put it together with other toys or blown by the wind or what, in that case at least you've prove something to yourself that things could happen.

Yes I believe in ghosts.I think that some ghosts are evil spirits that coem to scare us and cause fear into us.Because i have had the hair on my neck stand up at times and I have also seen things out of the corner of my eyes.My mom goese to church and she said when she was sleeping in her room (this was when my dad had went to work)she would here her dresser drawer opening and closing and she said she said Jesus if its you than you can stay but if its something evil then I rebuke you in the name of Jesus be gone. And it left. Now sometimes it can also be angels as well.Angels I beleive could play with are children. Also they can come in human form to us.

I don't believe in ghost, I have not seen one yet. As for the ball, it is possible that maybe the wind blew it hard enough to let it move. If it does not sound convincing then maybe a rodent caused it to move. Sometimes rats play with your things and that may have caused the ball to move from the other side.

The Man On The Bench
I hope you enjoy it. This happened few years ago in my home town, Driffield, and I remember it was on Valentine's day. Me and my friend, Kerstie, were walking to her house one night. I forget what we were doing, but on the way to her house we had to pass this memorial garden. It has a few flowers, and a bench that faces a monument from the war, it's quite a nice place with a small river. There is a path that runs behind the bench, and this was the path we had chosen that day.
It wasn't quite dark and I remember it was around 6pm because there is a church not far from the garden, and the bells struck just before we walked by. We were both quite happily talking away until we came close to the bench. Then we both went silent, and turned to face the bench. It was very strange because we both did this at the exact same time, in mid sentence, and just stared for what seemed like ages. There was a man sat on the bench with his back to us. He seemed to be wearing a rather large coat, with a biggish collar, it was a greenish color, and he had a large bag next to him. I originally thought the bag was a small child huddled on the bench until I realized how large it was.
After what seemed like ages, but was most likely a few seconds, we both realized we were staring but we didn't seem to understand why. Then, at the exact same time, we both realized the guy had no visible head (I know it sounds lame but honestly it is true). Kerstie started to scream. She ran across the road and waited for me on the other side. I didn't quite know how to react and just continued to stare in shock. The guy didn't seem phased by Kerstie screaming, and this creeped me out a little. I thought maybe he was leaning forward, and his head just wasn't visible, so I slowly walked round the side of the bench, to see a front view. The whole time, he didn't move an inch. As I got closer, I saw that he wasn't hunched forward... He really didn't have a head... Just a gaping collar with blackness. Yet he had hands, and feet and everything else. He just sat there with his hands on his knees. At this point, fear got the better of me and I ran after Kerstie. As I caught up with her I paused and looked back... The guy was moving his arms... We then ran all the way to her house.
When we actually got home, it was the first time we spoke since we went silent and she said to me "You did see that didn't you?"
We then talked about the whole experience, and we had both witnessed the same thing... A headless man in green, sat with a bag on a bench. She also said that she thought the bag was a child too... I thought that was kind of odd. We thought maybe it was a guy from the war waiting for his lover, or grieving for a friend lost in the war, but I doubt we will ever know.
I know it seems unlikely but this really did happen, and if it wasn't for the fact that Kerstie saw it too, I'd wonder if I really did see it. I have seen other things but this is by far the scariest.
