Do you eat vegetables most of the time? Or do you always include vegetable viands in your meals? Or you are the one who likes to eat meat and pork more than vegetables?
We all know that vegetables are good for one's body especially that they contain several vitamins and minerals that's essential for our body. However, I personally am not a vegetarian 'til the other day when I realized I think it would be helpful for me if I also include vegetables in my meals. I eat pork meat a lot. BUt I have thought of taking care of my diet nowadays. What can you say so? :) FOr those who are not vegetarians, have you also thought of changing your daily food intake and include vegetables in your meals most of the time? :)

I am a vegan, however my diet doesn't completely consist of vegetables. I also eat fruit, seeds, nuts, bread, pasta, rice, lentils, beans, couscous and all kinds of other foods.
It is healthier to eat more vegetables in your diet, and it would be a good thing if everyone substituted the meat on their plate for a good green vegetable like cabbage or brocolli.

I used to be a vegetarian and an activist in my younger days, but I grew out of it (I live in beef country). Now I eat meat (though not a ton of it), I'm just selective of what type of meat and where the meat comes from, in order to ensure humane treatment.

Ya i am a vegetarian, I know vegetables contains more number of vitamins and minerals, But still i like only vegetarian food only, Having non veg is not bad but should take only in limited quantity, WE should surely inculde vegetabels in our meals, and we should not have non veg daily. We should eat fruits also to get the vitaminls and minerals, they are very good for health actually, after taking care of your diet, did you find any changes in your body so far?

I eat vegetables more than meat. Mainly it is because I prefer buying vegetables. I'm lazy to think of cooking meat dishes every meal. I usually take only poultry meat. So, vegetables dishes come first and they are delicious too!

I'm not a vegetarian, but my tolerance for protein has been affected by my current health problems. So, I only eat a few ounces of meat, if that. Mostly, I eat plant matter. My health has improved greatly since I have added a lot of vegetables in my diet. I really wasn't much of a meat eater ever in my life. I liked a little ground beef or turkey and a little chicken once in a while.
The only problems that I have with vegetables is that they are more difficult to digest and cause certain, um, *effects*.

Very seldom will you see me eating a salad.
I've always hated veggies and will till the day I die.
I do eat them with meals but not too many.

I would argue that that is what their intended, biological purpose is.. to act as the food source for those more evolved (humans).

It's a common thought that vegetarian only eat vegetables. That's not true. They eat vegetables and a product that replacs meat for nutricion. Tofu, Tempeh, nuts and for those who eat dairy products cheese. And eggs if you eat those.
And it's the combination of food that matters.
Eating only potatoes is not nutricious enough. Eating potatoes with a veggie burger is better.

I am an omnivore. Our meals include meats and vegetables, for the most part. We do have 2 days (minimum) a week in which we do not take meat. But, we have no aversion to it.
I like a nice crisp mixed herb green salad before a meal, to help satiate me and keep me from eating too much other things. If it were not so unhealthy I think I could probably live mostly off of potatoes and rice, though.
We eat a lot of carrots, zucchini, broccoli and the like as well.

I would not be able to turn vegetables. It would be practically eating me since I don't take vegetables. I like gluten fine enough but my palates would be pretty bored if I eat that only the rest of my life. :P

I do eat a lot of vegetables. I just love them. I don't eat any red meat. I will only eat chicken and fish. I just don't think that red meat is any good for you. So I am not a total vegetarian, but pretty close.

I could never be a vegetarian - i love my meat far too much!
Having said that, i love vegetables too - a mix of everything is good for you too :)
I was just wondering whether you realise that a vegetarian doesn't eat meat?
Just a couple of things you said made me think you thought it was something else.
Ah well, i reckon if you choose to be a vegetarian then good for you, just make sure you get enough of the suppliments to keep you healthy!

We are vegetarians,so we eat a lot of vegetables. But sometimes I make things using tofu or soya granules.I believe soya granules have the same texture as meat.I don;t like it that much but my husband does.I do eat eggs and so does my daughter. But I make sure we get a lot of vegetables too because egg being protein, fibre is also needed for the body.It is a good idea for you to take care of your diet.Once you start taking everything in moderation, you will be healthy.

I have been a vegetarian for almost 10 years, and I have not had a single meat craving. I simply cannot stand the taste, the texture, the smell or the look of it, and I have been like this as long as I can remember.
I am not really vegetarian for health reasons, and I am not a fanatic animal right's activist either, but I am aware that a vegetarian diet is good for my health and I love animals.
I think my issues with eating meat really took off, when I was about 8 years old and my father send a young bull to the slaughtery. This had been my favorite bull in the whole bunch, since it was a little calf, as it would follow me around everywhere. That is until the day, it could no longer escape the electrical cord surrounding the cattle pasture.
Well, my dad sent the young bull off to the slaughtery and told me that it would come back as steak and meatsauce. From then on, I refused to eat any meat that I had not seen come from a store bought package.
A year or two later my father sent my old pony Lucas (and yes he was very old) to the slaughtery. I beg and pleaded that he would give him a proper burial instead, but my dad refused and told me that Lucas was going to the slaughtery to be made into horse steaks and soap. Yes, my father is not a very compassionate man - he can be very straightforward and a bit brutal in his comments at times. For a 9-year-old girl this was the tip off the iceberg though.
So, yes I am a vegetarian, and I doubt I will ever have a piece of meat again. My parents finally let me declare myself a vegetarian at the age of 17, after I kept trowing up, whenever I had eaten meat.
The last time I ate meat, was when I was invited to a boyfriends house a few months later. It was the first time I was going to meet the parents, and my new boyfriend had cooked lasagna. I ate a few bites out of courtesy to the parents, and to show my good manners, and I apologized telling them I was not feeling well. Then I asked for the bathroom, and that was it for the meat.
That was the end of the relationship as well, as I never forgave my boyfriend for forgetting that I was a vegetarian, and putting me in such an uncomfortable situation.
I love most vegetables and fruits, with the exception of cauliflower, and I think there is an endless amount of vegetarian dishes out there. I simply love vegetarian cooking, and since I discovered the vegetarian dishes in the Indian cuisine, I must admit that I have put on a few pounds. To those of you, who have not tried Indian cooking, I strongly encourage you to visit an authentic Indian restaurant...even if you are not vegetarian.
