3rd in Australia
2nd in Malaysia
Who know's what next weekend will bring.
Lewis Hamilton has made such an impressive start and watching him hold off Kimi in the Ferrari in the closing stages of the Malasian Grand Prix was nothing short of nail biting.
So what do you think, can he make it to the top spot next week?

I agree it's an impressive start for one so young, I've yet to see the Malaysian Grand Prix but I'm sure I'll be able to catch the highlights at some point. I did see him in Australia and he drove brilliantly and I was certainly impressed! I was worried that I would lose interest in F1 now that Michael has gone as I've followed him for so many years, but now I think I have found a suitable replacement in Lewis Hamilton from his first two performances! Hopefully he'll get the top spot next week, looks like there will be a good fight between him and Alonso this year if he carries on like this!

Yes. He is an excellent driver and he is posing a threat for the championship hopes of Kimi Raikkonen. He has been very impressive and its hard to believe that he is a rookie! He has got a great future ahead of him.

Well yes Hamilton was good. But remember Mclaren will be more behind Alonso so he has much lesser chance of winning a race. Also he lucky as well with Massa making a mistake so I dont think he will be that great in future but still very good. Lets see.

Lewis did an excellent job of slamming the door on the pair of Ferraris early on in the race to give Alonso the space he needed, he's a good team driver and I believe Ron Dennis is the type of man to give both his drivers a fair go. I'm looking forward to next weekend

Hey friend, I agree with you that, this young chap his performing well and he has more aggression. But he did not hold kimi in the closing stage. He was feeling the pressure and kimi was closing him by 5 seconds every lap. If Kimi had more two laps to spare, he would have surely crossed him! During the final ten laps gap between Kimi and Hamilton was 7.5 seconds and Kimi reduced it to .5 at the end of race. So, its not the matter of Hamilton holding Kimi from reaching the 2nd position. But, we should appreciate Hamilton excellence in both the races.

I do appreciate the Ferrari was definitely catching him up, but I think he has shown incredible maturity on the track and we can expect great things from this young man.

I agree Lewis Hamilton has a very exciting future ahead of him in years to come and in the season ahead. He was outstanding in Malaysia, he played the team game well by allowing Alonso to stretch out a early lead which laid the foundations for a Mclaren one two.
Can he win in Bahrain - no.
I dont feel he is the finished article yet and i think that he is not the fastest driver to put it on pole position nor does he have the overall and consistent race pace to pull of the race win. Dont get me wrong, he will be world champion one day and he may even win a race this season but i dont feel he is good enough to beat the likes of Alonso and Raikkonen just yet.

It was announced on our evening news that Lewis got the fastest lap in the race - wow. I agree he is still a rookie with only two races, but in those two races he seems to have set the track on fire. Bahrain will be *interesting* I think
