I think evrything in moderation is the key. we need to eat a little bit of everything for us to be healthy. not all nutrients our body needed can be found in only one food group.

Vegetarians have less cases of diabeties, cancer and heart disease. They are also less likely to be obese and generally have a more balanced diet than meat eaters. To me that points at vegetarians being healthier. What evidence do you have to show that meat eaters are healthier?

I used to eat meat nearly every day with my family when I was a kid, right about up until I was 19. During that time, I had a problem with constipation, so a good friend suggested that I try 'cleaning up' with enemas If you a squeemish, beware. I took his advice and tried it out, giving myself a 'cleaning' every day, and you won't BELIEVE the stuff that came out of my rear end! All sorts of... stuff! What bothered me the most, though, were the frightening amounts of rotting pieves of meat. That is where a little bit of unsuccessfully digested meat ends up after every meal. Stuck, rotting in the colon. It is sickening to think about... I like my colon. Now it's main visitors are raw veggies, fruits, nuts, and grains.
