Are you bothered with the service charge of restaurants?

As much as possible, I avoid restaurants with service charge because I feel constricted to ordering the less expensive dishes. As the bill gets higher so does the service charge. 10% service charge is really big. For instance, the bill is 1000, it will have an additional 100 service charge. What can you say about this?

Here in the US, you are supposed to give 10% tip. And it is not optional... Imagine if your bill was $40, you have to tip $4. So if you compare it to peso how much would that be.. huge for a tip huh... and that's just a $40 bill, how much more if it was a high class dining?
