If I'd like to go for holiday, for relaxing, I'll choose the beach. As the environment is nicer, and you can breath in the fresh air, and listen to the wave. But if going for swimming, I still prefer swimming pool, as it's easier for me to swim. I'm not a good swimmer. :p

Well, there are waves and tides and currents at the beach which can make swimming more of a challenge. On the other hand . . . salt water is easier to float in (somehow we are more buoyant in salt water), and all those other things will make you a stronger swimmer. Still, pools are somewhat safer, calmer, and always at high tide! Me, I'm for salt water, since I grew up near it -- but I love swimming enough that I don't care WHERE I swim, as long as the water is fairly clean and I can get all wet!

LOL ;) It's okay if you're not that much of a swimmer, you don't really have to swim in the beach.. you can just ride with the waves, hehe.. or do some other stuff like snorkeling, etc. Have fun though!

That's a hard one. I love being on the beach, the feel, the smell of the beach is just wonderful. But I don't like swimming anywhere that I can't see the bottom. So I guess pools are my prefernce.

We don't have a swimming pool, as live near the beach. The ocean is really chilly at this time of year, so haven't any plans of putting my feet in the water. This area won't get really warm until July, as we will have June gloom first, which is overcast cloudy weather and temperatures might reach 70 degrees.

Oh yeah, I remember your story on one of my topics here. You mentioned that you lived near a beach and sometimes you would go there just to cry about nothing ;) Summer in America starts in July, right? ;) Well, it's near anyway ;)

We have been to the beach for the past two or three summers and we are really wanting to spend our vacation somewhere new and unusual this year! Hubby doesn't really enjoy the beach much and I sunburn so easily that I shouldn't be there anyway! We have a pool at our home so we will still get to be refreshed on those very hot days. Got any ideas where we can vacation that is unusual and fun?

Wow, I wish I had a pool at home ;) Hmm.. something unusual? Why don't you try something out that you and your hubby haven't done before? ;) You know, something for a change ;)

Well we're going to a beach this summer and we're going to my mom's province and go to a lot of tourist spots there, like the pretty white sand beach there, the falls, the rivers and do mountain trekking also. I love it and i can't wait to go there next monday. Cheers and have a nice day ahead from Francis.

I will be going home to California for the summer so I will be able to do both. I will also be visiting a couple of rivers that my kids have grown to love. Between now and then, we will carry on with using the Irish Sea.

I love the beach atleast you can play in the sand and I think it would not get as crowded as a pool thats why the beach is fun not alot of people it also has the waves.
