The other day...........

The other day here on mylot i put in a discussion in regards to me trying to become pregnant. I actually stated that my boyfriend and i are trying start a family and i was looking for ways to concieve. After a few great comments that i greatly appreciate i had this one person that commented stating that i should be ashamed for not being married before becoming pregnant and that a child needs two parents. Although i believe that for some people marriage is a good idea i have seen way to many failed ones to really want to give it a try. The person also indigated that i wasn't thinking of the child that im wanting to have. How can this be so i asked myself. I have talked over this with my boyfriend and we have a plan and everything just because neither one of us wants to be married doesn't mean we don't love one another it just means we see no point in getting married. So many people don't value the concept of marriage anyways. Besides it has become a way for the state to earn money you have to spend so much for the certificate and such and its really ridiculous. I don't feel that i should have to be married to have a child. I don't really think that just because im not married that i shouldn't think or want to have children. I think that women in general should have the oppurtunity to have a child if they desire. I guess my point is is that i made the discussion to some advise and instead i was slandered for the fact that im not married. Which isn't even what the discussion was about. If i wanted advise on that then i would have made the discussion about that. Besides what ever happened to the saying "if you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything at all"

Just dont worry about what has been posted there, did you report it? If not, maybe you should (! under the name). The person just should have understood that you have already made your choice, as you were asking of way of concieve it should easily have been picked up, and simply wanted advice on how to go about it.
Hopefully this does not happen again, people shouldn't respond negatively unless you are asking them a yes or no question or the topic is generally regarded as offensive to everyone, not just that single person.
