Hello weemam. I am happy for you. You are blessed to have a loving son like Ross. Everytime you mention your son's name, it reminds me of another Ross in that t.v. show called FRIENDS. Makes me smile. I hope you enjoy HAPPY FEET. I did and so with my baby nephew. I hope my "son" would grow up to be loving and thoughtful too when I am old. Take care and enjoy the day!

I see you are back up at 10 weemam! Ross must have noticed you were down, and knew that the film Happy Feet would lift your spirits and make you laugh! You have a very thoughtful and loving son weemam. I've only seen bits of the film, but it looks excellent and I aim to see it soon. Put your feet up and enjoy it with Ross, then report back and let us know how you rate it!

The feeling down phase does come into everyones life now n then. The best thing is to snap out of it as soon as you can.Main thing is to achieve a happy frame of mind. Do whatever makes you happy n feel light hearted.
I wish all children would think of helping their parents, the same way as Ross has done, bless him for it.....for one day he too will be a parent, n will depend for mental support on his children.
The secret of feeling happy is to never forget your childhood pleasures....follow them even when you are old, they will still give you that smile....n will never let you down.

What a good son! And don't worry about the watching a cartoon thing. I just watched Happy Feet and Open Season about 3 times EACH this weekend. So if everyone groans over you watching it, they have to do the same about me! LOL! Hope you like the movie.

From what I can tell weemam, your life is not sad at all...you live a very full life. You take care of all your family and do many chores yet you are always full of love, fun and laughter as well as kind thoughts.
happy Feet is one movie I really want to see as well but I will have to wait as it's only and overnight rental and a 190klm round trip to the video store...lol.

What's the fascination about this show anyway? I came across another discussion some time back talking about how excited she was.. watching happy feet too. I haven't watched this myself.. don't really like such kind of cartoons. :P

Oh that is lovely Weemam, that you son was thinking of how to cheer your day up it is very thoughtful of him and I am sure that even though we are getting on in age does not mean that we can't have a sense of humour and watch some dvd that are just for children.

I want to see it too. I find that these days I am more drawn to animated fun movies that those with any deeper meaning. And I sure don't need any more movies that are scary or will make me anxious. Life is full enough of that for me. I don't need to pay money to add more! :-)
I don't go out to the movies much - too expensive now that I'm on a limited income. But we bring video tapes and CD's from the library. We usually get very old classic movies or light-hearted stories.
But sometimes it is hard to tell by the covers what the movie is like. Every once in a while we end up with a movie that is really heavy or really sad and we end up in tears or with a headache. We joke about one we brought home that we watched all the way through and never got the point of the plot, if there was one. In it was a horse they had painted an "x" on its forehead. So when we have a real "bummer" movie we decide if it was better or worse than that one.
Hope you enjoy your movie. I'll get around to it eventually.

Oh weemam, I also have a DVD of Happy Feet. My girls did nothing but to keep imitating the penguin's walk. As always, I applaud you for raising a good son. Its difficult to be a mother but seeing our little ones growing up to be good children is worth our sacrifices.
