The other day I found some money going into a supermarket. I picked it. Has anyone found a large sum of money is so how much? And what did you do with it?

Yes, when I first moved to Alabama, my brother found over $150 right by a bush just as we were about to go into the nursing home; since we didn't have no identification as to who it may belong to, we kept that. Once, I was on my way home on the bus from school, and at the bus stop was a wallet with over $200 in it; It had some I.D. and knowing that this person probably worked hard to get it, I took it back to the place he worked at, and turned it in; I never got a reward for this, but glad to know that I could help someone.

In my country, you can steal money from a specified place, but taking a lost and found cache of cash is very dangerous! When you simply find money on the way,it is probable that some one has cast a bad spell on it! Many people have become mad in my locality after picking lost and found moneys! So to answer your question, I will just pass by and leave it where I found it!

the most I ever found was a paper bag with two big knots of money in it..after helping the person that lost it try to find up (all for him to give up) I took it home and counted over three thousand dollars..trust me, you don't want to know what he was doing with that sort of money..I put some of it in the bank, did some shopping, and loaned him two hundred until he got more money back...

We were at Sam's club today and my hubby saw a wallet sitting on a box. We were amazed and no one was around so we took it to the front desk. We did not check it out but think that they paged the gentleman and we hope he got it back. Just the right thing to do. We would hope they would return ours if it happened.

Yes I also found money on the street. But that was not a large or big amount. It was a just a 5 bucks coin. I picked it up but I didn't keep it. That's because my Grandmother always taught me that, when I get some money anywhere with no one to claim it, I must understand that God has chosen that amount so that it gets donated for charity. I also did that. I gave it in a temple in the donation box. I will continue to do that for the rest of my life. But yes ofcourse I will give the money to the person who lost it, if he/she claims it. Because sometimes you get a really big amount of money, which none can just drop by. In that case I will probably inform the police.

If there is no one around then I keep it, because whoever has dropped it is long gone, But if there are people around I usually ask , Most people are honest enough to say if it isn't theirs when you ask, or at least i hope so, otherwise, someone else is getting money that i found...lol

in my case, i have not experienced it yet but if ever i'd get to experience it, it would really depend as to where i found the money and if there's something that goes with it as to whom it belongs. i'd return it of course.
