300 or gladiator?

i'd prefer gladiator over 300. the plot of the gladiator is much much better than that of the 300. if not for those six pack abs, i dont think 300 would make it big, in fact, it might flop. plus 300 is not that realistic, it was heavily loaded with computer graphics, unlike the gladiator which really looks so real. plus the story of gladiator is so touching

Awwwww... do I really have to choose? I guess I'll go for Gladiator. The King in 300 knew that they were going to be surrounded but was not able to find a way to do something about it except to send a number of his army back home. I feel that he could have done better, or maybe they just had to end the film already...

Before choosing let us go over the summary or plot of the two movies in question.. 'Gladiator' is about Maximus a Roman general betrayed and his family murdered by a corrupt prince, he came to Rome as a gladiator to seek revenge. '300' concerns the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta led his army against the advancing Persians; the battle is said to have inspired all of Greece to band together against the Persians, and helped usher in the world's first democracy. Gladiator is a dispute between two men, the general and the prince while 300 is a war between a big nation Persia and strong-willed Sparta. Which movie is better? For me it's 300 because the story evolves on the entire Sparta's fight for freedom unlike Gladiator which is only for revenge. My POV..

Gladiator still wins. 300 is a very close second but it lacked a few things. Like realism with the blood, which just seems to vanish into the air 90% of the time.

i go for 300 as 300 is an absolutely terrific movie. the attitude, the valour the spartans display send a chill down my spine. so much to keep their honour. they challenged and even demured a person who projected himself as god. i think they were bogged down by the wrong priests who just had no respect for these warriors. my personal favorite line in the movie when the king says : SPARTANS NEVER RETREAT!!!!!!!!!!. the greatest sequence when the king as a young lad fights the beast and also , when he kicks the intruder into the well..
