This is one of those fun fantasy discussion's . If someone gave you One Million dollars, but you had to spend it in stores only, and you only had 30 days to spend the whole amount, Where would your First 3 stops be? Me.....Pier 1....Bed,Bath and Beyond....Old Navy!!!

I will probably be the craziest that you might get according to some people but here it goes. Of course after the government takes out the taxes which would be about $300,000 dollars. Then 10% to my church which is $100,000. Then I would purchase a new home ($100,000)a new suv $50,000 and a new truck $50,000. Then I would also give some more to my church and for mission work. I would also pay off all of my debts. Then I would start my own business and then live on it for what is left.

Your government tax you on your winnings?? That to me sounds odd, If you gamble and win they tax you but if you lose I'm sure they don't pick up the tab.

All very good things to do with the money! I give you kudo's. and I also agree about the comment that the gov't dosn't pick up the tab if you lose, but they want to tax you if you win....That's just not fair!

I'd pick a good university where private accomodation is highly sought after. I would put aside a portion of the 1 million to buy as many 2-3 bedroom apartments as I can. For the rest of the money it will be used in refurbishment if the place looks shabby. Then I'll put in the basic necessities and rent it out. Now and again, when I get more money, I'll add on more property. Then I'll live off the rent for the rest of my life with no worries.

A woman with a buisness mind. Very good thinking that way you can keep generating money off of the original one million.

If I had to spend it only is stores that would be tricky! I would go to walmart first because they have so much like hair supplies, soap, laundry soap ect. I would stock up on tons of that stuff. Then I would go to Christopher Banks and go crazy on clothing. I can never afford to purchase clothing from there reg price and it would be great to do that. Next would be Pennys or Sears to buy stuff for the family.

I'd probably go to some of those nice, expensive clothing stores and get some really nice outfits. Then I would get some nice jewerly ( I LOVE necklaces! )I would def. have to visit a dog pound, get myself a new friend), and then go to a pet store and get him some toys, food, etc. Then get some toys and treats for my cat, I already have her! =P And if it counts I would def. use the money to help buy a nice little, comfy (not to expensive) house. With nice surrounding property.

I'm in Switzerland. I just moved here last year. So I am unsure about all their stores here. BUT I do like Manor. I don't like their furniture stores here because they are too modern for my taste. I am into antiques, or anything that is made new but has that old fashioned look to it. I also like gothic furniture, and it is impossible here in Switzerland to find this stuff. I am originally from America. Boston Mass, and they had great furniture stores for this stuff. I think I would go to a bunch of antique stores here and buy furniture if I has one million. Be it, I can only spend it at a store :-) Sorry I don't know the names of all the stores here. :-( Great topic. :-)

I would likely buy myself a modest house, a new car, a new wardrobe and help put my parents back on stable financial ground. I might even pay you to be a foot model for me! I bet you have beautiful toes. :)

I would definitely buy a very huge house, a lake house would be great too and then I'd go around the world and go shopping! Hello, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Coach. Hello jewelries. and Hello World! :) btw, I would try to save some and place it in a bank account.
