do you wear slippers?

OK I think I have finally had to face facts this weekend I'm getting old. Yep I'm not sure when it happened really. I thought I was cool I dress in style .I wear a current hairstyle my nieces think I'm way cool.So how did I become old? I was getting ready to go to mom for Easter dinner which is a big family affair .John is getting dressed and I'm already and suddenly it happens...I say they words..John did you put our slippers in a bag? yes we take our slippers now to visit people!!! when did this happen.I remember my mom coming to my first apartment and she would take her slippers with her I would say mom why.she would say when i take off my shoes i wear slippers.I would roll my eyes shrug my shoulders and think I will never be that person!!.but alas I am that person. but truth is I like my slippers and i like my socks white.
So i have come to terms that i accept my behavior and John has too, besides my slippers have funky animal prints and johns are corona beer so were are still cool right??? please???

Haha! I have an old pair of animal print slippers. I wear them around the house. Especially when I have to do laundry downstairs. I also have a pair of Valentines Day slippers my mother gave to me as a gift from America. LOL One slipper says "I'm yours" Then the other says "Be mine". LOL They are red. The great thing about these silly slippers is they slip right on, and the are so comfotable. So if I am sick in bed, (I was recently with a fever), I just slip these right on and get up. :-)
Silly or not, slippers are fantastic.
I usually wear socks though. Maybe I'm not that old yet? LOL I am 32 though... so I am getting there hahahahah

won't be long now and we will have you all the way over to our side lol..that's how we get you see when you sick you feel nice and warm in slippers and then maybe one day your a little sleepy you slip them on then the next oh what the heck you put them on and then we got ya your hooked lol..thanks for responding

BAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I'VE NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD IN MY LIFE!yep thats grandma and jeannette and pauline should i go on, but you're still cool..just OLD and cool, remember you have cool hair, cool clothes, you're hot stuff, you got an awesome pad with COOL stuff in it and at least you're not wearing those pink fuzzy flip flop slippers like our moms. and john wears carona's. are they the ones darrell put on my feet? by the way there is no way they fit him. they were too damn big for me!!! he just wanted me to think he had big feet...cuz you know what they say...... toodles

your such a nutbar and yes i know our family are a bunch of slipper toting crazy people but you must agree they have some ugly slippers!!!.I always have cold feet and well Johns feet are so ugly he needs the cover up and poor Darrell was living in a dream lol

That is so funny. YOu just described me and my husband getting ready for easter! I always remember my grandmother wearing her slippers and now I am just like you. Another coincidence, my slippers are animal print too~ LOL!

well its nice to know I'm not alone in my love of slippers and i guess we must be a little wild inside hence the animal print lol. My grandmother knitted slippers for all of us all the time it was her pastime for years.It is such a nice memory of her what I wouldn't give to open a gift of slippers from her now.

I love to wear slippers, although I don't happen to own a pair at the moment. To me, they are just the most comfortable items of footwear on the planet. If I could I would wear slippers all the time, and have slippers for different occasions. My feet would never feel hard and sad, but only soft smooth happy feet.

i think it's time to get a new pair you better let your friends and family know for your next gift you want slippers or if you get some extra cash treat yourself to slippers. I hope you get some soon thanks for your comment

I dont take them along when going to visit anyone but I do wear slippers in the house. They are just comfy.
Think it just depends on what you grow up with and get used to. I have a little boy that I want to wear slippers when its cold in winter so mummy wears them to set the example.

you might be right about how you grew up my grandmother knit us all slippers and everyone in our family worn them. it was expected. so family's just don't and even by social class i mean if you floors were warm you might not need slippers maybe who knows.I know at our our we need them to keep warm.

I love slippers but I have wood floors so it makes walking a bit slippery.( No pun intended) lol You can't be any less cool than me because I run around in my 11 year old's tye dye crocks. She just rolls her eyes at me like I am such an embarassment. haha I say whatever makes you comfortable!

oh cool i never saw the Tye dye crocs before i love the camouflage ones though. I resisted the urge to buy a pair even thought the have been the rage for 2 years now. But your right age should not dictate your comfort and I let it do that thanks for the post and the reminder and tell your daughter i bet her mom looks cool!!

I;'m the same way i hate feeling crumbs and bits of dirt or cat hair under my feet.and you know know what how often you sweep there is always a layer of dust on the floor. Slippers offer a layer of protection from that and also from cats sharp claws under the couch lo.thanks for commenting

Interesting... But why can't you just go barefooted? Or in your socks or stockings?
I don't wear slippers in the house - be it mine or another person's. I wear them sometimes when I walk around my estate..

OK barefooted my feet would freeze and dust and such would get between my toes yuck. and stocking I could slip and injure myself that would not be good. and slippers can be sexy silly and whatever you want them to be..ok now i want to know exactly how big is this estate?

Wearing sleepers help to protect the feet as well as to keep it clean. But it is not a very good idea to carry your own sleepers while going to some other peoples' home. But in case you are in love with your sleepers, I have nothing to say. I also admit that the picture of your sleepers are nice.

I would only carry my own to my moms lol on my mother in laws lol will i think i would.. put your right slippers do serve as protection and are just so darn comfy.thanks for responding

Nope, I don't wear slippers! I like white socks too. So either I go barefoot, or I wear sneakers around the house. I have noticed for whatever reason the slippers I have bought before have made my feet pretty hot and I didnt like it!

ya i wear slippers..i think everyone need slippers say while bathing etc.sometimes u really feel comfortable in slippers,which u cant get in sandales or in shoes..try my advice..when there is cool weather wear slippers n go for walk u really feel nice n a sense of hapiness...

each of us have different styles and likes it happens that it is your passions to have your slippers with you when visiting some relatives..but its cool then special the design you have mentioned

I love wearing slippers, it always gives me a homely feeling. so, when i do wear slippers in other peoples house when i come over to sleep the night, they always know that i am very comfortable there.
But the only problem that i have is that i do forget them alote of times at the other house, and i have to buy a new pair each time. so i can tell you that i have many pairs of slippers tossed around many houses in israel. Lol.

Wearing slippers is a good thing.I however do not wear slippers now.I used to wear them before.Now I have a sickness called MND (MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE).due to this my toes do not have grip and so I cannot wear slippers any longer.I however wear Sandals.

I'm sorry to hear you had to give up slippers but in the summer i do have a pair of house sandals and there good too.I hope your doing well and taking care of yourself thanks so much for taking the time to respond

I never used to wear anything on my feet around the house. But since the old dog became incontinent I now wear my slippers. Stops that horrible cold wet feeling between my toes!

yep i do wear slippers especially when i'm at home.. i'm comfortable in wearing slippers and i think my feet are more relax.. after the whole day of work, you should let your feet rest even for a while and wearing slippers is one way of relaxing it.. wearing slippers are cool, its not totally about the slippers, its the person who wears it.. :)

my husband who works on his feet all day feels the same way about slippers it helps his feet relax and stretch out after being in shoes all day. I usually spray this cooling mist we bought its with aloe and spearmint on his feet and he puts his slippers on and he says the relief is instant
