Do you prefer Stephen Kings books or films. I have to say I'm more of a film person. I find it frustrating that he writes TOO MUCH detail. He can fill a page saying what another author could do in a paragraph. I also find his flicking between times and ages can be confuding.
I found his book, IT confusing but own the movie on DVD and love it.
So do you prefer to read or watch his work? I'm definately a watcher!

I prefer the books. I like the detail, I thought that was the point of writing. But you're right it can get confusing when he starts jumping around in different times. THe Green Mile was a better movie the book just didn't compare.

With some writers you can deal with it but he does go into a lot of detail where it's often unneccesary and slows the book down. IT was a classic example. It kept jumping between 1950's and the 1990's and I ended up completely lost.
