Can you create a whole website with Wordpress?

I have one blog set up on my website with Wordpress, but I would like to set up my site so that it is all wordpress. I like the look of it, and the theme that I have for it.
Right now, the blog is on "mywebsite".com/blog, but I want "mywebsite".com to point to a main Wordpress page. If that makes sense. Then I want to be able to have multiple pages on my site for various interests.
I would really appreciate a "for Dummies" explanation of how to go about doing this!

I have mine on http://www.wengonline.com, I did it during the setup phase where it asks you where you want your blog to be installed. I think you typed in /blog after your domain. You can try uninstalling it if you haven't posted many entries yet. You can then re-setup on your main folder.
