i have never heard of the "Gospel of Mary" til today.
correct me if i'm wrong but the "Last Temptation of Christ" is yet another movie. i don't consider movies as a good basis for argument unless you are arguing over acting abilities.
Now for why I don't believe Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene is this. 1) The bible never mentioned this, if its true then its very unlikely that the Bible would have been silent about this event. 2)Jesus is already married. Married to the church according to scripture. Jesus is the bridegroom and the church is the bride.

Could we use the bible when we talk about this? Is the bible give clear and real explanation? Is the bible a book of science?

According to the Davinci Code she was his companion. Back in those days that was another way of saying wife or spouce. I agree with you Ido believe that Jesus was nothing more than a human man with normal male needs and that he was married to Mary Magdalene.

No. The Da Vinci code and other books like it are fictional as stated by the authors and the stories in them are just that, untrue stories. Science and historians have proven for many years that Jesus was and is everything that the Bible claims. do some research before you take such things to hand!

truth is we just dont know but if it is true it changes nothing and for those who are upset with this theory when did being married become a sin it dosent make one iota of difference to me he is still my Lord and saviour!

It does change a few things: the woman should be more important in christianity. But there is something on the Apocalypse that takes me to that conclusion too. It talks about a woman that appears on the skyes, crowned by the moon, and she is pregnant... It looks like John is talking about God that way. Some experts think this passages were inspired by Mariam (Mary Magdalene) as they are someway related to her Gospel.

Jesus was not married to Mary Magdalene. It is not mentioned anywhere in the bible that she was his wife. Something that important would have been recorded in the Bible. It portrays Mary Magdalene as a very dear friend.

For all of you, think if Jesus was married and had a child!! Just think that it is true: Jesus was married. so, what will you do? Let it it be and let it go! Do we still pray for and believe in Him?

In the book of Revelation, John mentions a lamb and a wedding fest. Would there be such a commotion for a marriage between a man and his second wife? no, not at all. It's the first marriage that is the most memorable. The bible mentions Jesus's brothers and sisters, but not his wife or companion since he had none. Yes, he was a man of flesh and blood, but his nature was divine.
I guess the best way to describe him is this: Have you ever been in a situation where the outcome seems very hard..."are you perfect? Is your name Jesus Christ?" Jesus was and is perfect in every way. He wasn't tempted by te flesh like you and I.
The marriage will happen for him, but that's in the book of Revelations.

How can anybody plead based on the storylines of some best selling fictions that Jesus was married to Mary Magdaline? All the information we have about Jesus is from the Bible. As far as the Bible does not reveal any thing about such a developmnt how can somebody loosely suggest that he was married?
Jesus was born into this world to fullfill a special Godly purpose. To be sacrificed on the alter of God as an offering to rescue all mankind from their sins. God needed a perfect individual for that purpose and was sure that nobody with an ancestory with Adam could be suitable for the purpose and hence the word of God was born as a human. Under this Godly plan there was no scope for the generations from Jesus.
The argument that Jesus was married is totally baseless and senseless. It is yet another trick by the evil satan to detract people from the Godly truth.

There is no Biblical basis for this. No, I don't believe it is true.
A lot of people have been convinced by the Davinci Code as another responder has pointed out. I have to reiterate that the Davinci Code is fiction, not based on fact but the author's imagination. There is no basis of truth to this at all. No Jesus wasn't married, nor did if have children.

No, Jesus was never married or had any children. The Bible tells us about Jesus' life. He did not come here to marry anyone, but to save us from our sins. No where in the Bible does it say that Jesus married or had any children.

I don't see why not. I know it's not written in the bible, but that doesn't make it not true. Maybe they weren't married but were companions. So they left it out of the story because who would like it if Jesus and Mary had a child out of wedlock. Or relations with a woman he was not married to. Sounds sinful, doesn't it? I'm not a scholar. But I think it could be true.

It's mentioned only in some of the Gnostic Gospels and is not believed in Christianity. It's a nice little fairy story to sell potboiling books.... :-)
It's often called the Merovingian Heresy and the idea is that Jesus was the originator of a line of kings of Southern France. Eventually it all merges in with stories of the Holy Grail, the Knights Templar and all sorts of stuff, eventually giving us The DaVinci Code novel.
