Do You Eat Tomatoes?

I am a little stranger than that. I hate tomatoes on their own and ketchup makes me physically ill but I love pasta smothered in sauce and pizza is probably my favorite fast food.

No one else likes tomatoes but me. I like them on some bread with mayo and some salt. Plain but a nice snack at three in the morning :] Tomato haters? Surely you jest! This is the time of year when you should start your seedlings, I have some under some grow lights at the moment, can't wait for the rain and snow to give way to some nice warm summer weather!

I hate uncooked tomatos, but I love Ketchup, Pizza sauce and spaghetti sauce :) I think it's just the uncooked taste is so much different then the cooked taste. I can manage to eat a few pieces of tomato in a salad just b/c I know they are good for you, but I must eat it fast and then quickly follow up with something I like to get the taste out of my mouth. My fiance hates them as much as I do. I guess we just don't have a taste for them.

i oersonally can not eat a tomato without it being with something else. like on a hamburger is fine but just by itself i dont like the taste. now my kids we cant keep them out of the tomatoes. we have them planted and every time they go outside they are eating them. i am lucky if a tomato will still in the frig for more then 30 mins.

It is so odd that you say this because every man in my life has been the exact same way. I am going to ponder because I never expected to hear that. For the first time I am speechless..LOL!

I am the one who also hates to eat tomato. Not only this, i hate to eat tomato ketchup but i can accept the pizza sauce and spaghetti sauce in my meal or diet. i knew that many of my friend (guy) didnt like to eat fresh tomato too. i think why the girls like to eat tomato becasue tomato can prevent aging and preserve young so hcromer, you please eat more tomato becasue girls are more prone to aging.

I have been known to have a tomato sandwich every now and again. I don't make a habit out of it or anything though.

I never liked tomatoes myself, at least by itself, on sandwiches ... Same with ketchup - I never liked it either. The only way I eat tomato sauce of pizza sauce is with other stuff, like spaghetti or some other noodles, or on pizza itself. It's the taste factor in my case.

YEAH, I LIKE THEM very much. i like them raw, in various preparations and also in the form of ketchup.

At first I didnt really like to eat tomatoes, but I like the sauces and ketchup. Now as an adult I do like to eat tomtatoes. I do prefer sweeter, more mellow tomatoes. Now they are pretty fun to eat.

My oldest daughter is like that. She won't eat tomatoes whole or in salads, but likes tomato products. I *love* tomatoes, especially fresh fromt he garden. I grow a few plants every year and they are wonderful and juicy all the time.

I love to eat ripe tomatoes. They are very tasty. They make good salads. Salads are health foods. When they are taken raw they will be more nutritious too. Eat one or two every day.

I hate tomatoes and I love ketchup and sauce. I don't like sauce if it is chunky with parts of tomato in it. My husband is total opposit. He loves tomatoes and hates ketchup. Go figure?

I think that's weird too but a lot of men I have known are the same. Even my sister is the same, she likes tomato sauce but not tomatoes but she will sometimes have them on a sandwich. The strangest thing though that I have noticed is that most of the people I know who don't like tomatoes have blue eyes and don't like bananas either.

I love tomatoes and eat the raw and cooked. They are a wonderfully healthy food. My hubby falls into the category you described perfectly. He will not eat a slice of raw tomato on a hamburger or sandwich, yet he lows spaghetti sauce, and smothers almost everything in catsup! Strange!

Lol, that's funny but so true! My husband is the same way! He loves everything that has tomatoe in it but he will not eat tomatoes alone, cut up in salads, tacos, or anything at all unless it is like you said ketchup or any kind of sauce. He says they just taste gross and he doesn't like the texture of the tomatoe when you eat it. I absolutely love tomatoes and can even eat them as a snack during the day, with a little bit of salt on them. I wish he did like them more because I would cook with them all of the time if he did, but I guess I'll just have to stick with the sauces for now and eat them on my own:)

For once, I thought the tomato look like my big head :P I only eat small tomatoes which do not have "seeds". As for big ripe tomatoes, I avoided it like plague. Perhaps it is because when I was young, my mother used to ask me to eat it as a fruit. I do drink tomato juice but do not take the sauces. I like clear soup with a tint of tomato flavour but do not like the tomato in the soup. So do I hate tomatoes? I know not :P

I love tomatoes in any and all varieties served in just about any way I can imagine. Soup, sauce, ketchup, plain, on peanut butter (yes, really, there's nothing better than a peanut butter and tomato sandwich if the tomato is perfectly ripe and the peanut butter is crunchy and the bread is multigrain)... The list goes on and on. Tomatoes are a miracle fruit. I truly believe this. My partner, on the other hand, hates tomatoes. She likes ketchup and barbecue sauce, but that's pretty much it. I always wonder if she'd notice tomatoes in a cake, but so far I've not found a recipe for a cake with tomato soup that I like (although I love the idea and may one day say the hell with it and create my own recipe) because I do worry about her not getting the lycopene she needs from ketchup alone (she doesn't eat a whole lot of other red fruits either), but so far we haven't tried that route. It's the one issue I totally fail to understand her on. How can anyone not love tomatoes? I respect that, but it's still weird to me, almost 6 years later.

I am not really a tomato lover but I eat them occasionally.Sometimes I want to drink the juice of it and sometimes I don't like.
