Lonnie,
I just read on the discussion that you posted some really disturbing comments. Please dont let "antimormons" change your mind. The link that one lady posted to your comment is "antimormon". We are Christians. We do believe in Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your comment. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saint over 30 years. I prayed, and got my answer. I knew my decision without any doubts in my mind, which is right. Serving my mission 20 years ago, I am very glad and pride to help my people in Taiwan to know this Church. Yeah, I am also a local church leader without any payment. I am also sorry for those exmormons you provided on www.exmormon.org.
There was a sister in my stake, she read a lots of information from internet, and her faith was shaked by those documents. We talked a lots, and I provided her unbeatable testimonies from our ancient Chinese drawing characters and histories, which are totally the same as what Joseph Smith's teachings. When I said "unbeatable", it means "those testimonies not from American", not from the people praise or charge Joseph Smith, but, from our own language, our own ancient Chinese drawing words, from our own histories, to testify the Book of Mormon is true, and Joseph Smith is the Prophet from God. Now there are no other ex-members' charges can bother this sister's faith any more, because the testimonies now are from our own selves.
We are a Mormon family. My wife and I married in the temple, and we have a happy family.
For those exmormons, what I say to them is "sorry for your choice, it is your own not mine, but if you come back, you are still welcome."

I am lds also, I have been my whole life going back through the pioneers. Hosea Stout who I am a decendant of has some journal entries on the trail of tears. Anyways. I am the second child of 4 of my parents. My dad fell away from the church for awhile and was rebaptised recently. Of the 6 members of my family I am the only one who did not serve a mission, but it was because I got married in the Salt Lake Temple. My mission was adopting my little girl who otherwise would not have the church in her life. I am so thankful for my blessings and our church. I am lucky to have a wonderful family and great active husband.

Hey there! Nice to meet you! I too am LDS! I was baptised at 11 years old as a convert with my family and have loved being a member since then! When I met my boyfriend at age 14 in high school (yes i know it was before I was 16, lol) I tried teaching him the gosple and by the time we were together for 2 years I realized that our relationship was more than just a short term thing, so I told him that I really wanted him to be able to take me to the temple to get sealed one day. So he decided he would take the discussions with the missionaries but only to prove them wrong, ultimately resulting in him finding out that everything we believed in and everything he was taught was true...so he was baptised. lol Anyway, to make a really long story short, we got married at age 18, we were sealed in the temple and we now have 2 beautiful children. :) He is now the 2nd counselour in the Elders Quorum and a very strong member.

I am a member as well. I was feeling like I was the only one here for a long time. I joined the church in 1990 and my Hubby joined in 1998. We were married in the Jordan River Temple 1 year later and now we have to great kids sealed to us. I am so thankful for my beliefs.
