Which do you prefer? Do you like shower doors or shower curtains? Do you have any tips for keeping a shower door clean? I prefer a shower curtain. I have 2 bathrooms and 1 has a shower liner and curtain and the other has a shower door. The shower liner and curtain is soooo much easier when it comes to cleaning. I just toss out the liner when it starts to get yucky and replace it with another. I don't buy expensive liners, probably spend about $5 on one each time. The shower door, now I would love some tips on cleaning that. It's one of the chores that I don't like very much. Usually I spray the doors down with a soap scum remover and spray the shower with Tilex. The doors look very nice when they are clean but soap scum seems to come back sooner than I would like.

Have you tried that new automatic shower cleaner? I hear that it works really well. I prefer the shower door because it seems like my daughter never shuts the curtain right and the floor is always soaking wet when she is through.

I've seen the automatic shower cleaner on tv. But I haven't tried it. It might be something that I'll have to look into getting.

I have a new shower door in my shower room. It is plain glass with a white frame. It fits very well and I am looking forward to getting the room completed. I clean it with Eco cream and this works well. In my last home I had a shower over a bath. I had a shower curtain. It was always getting dirty. I used to clean it with lemon juice. It helped to fully open the curtain after I had a shower. I used to get a new shower curtain when it got old. Shower curtains are cheap but shower doors look better in my opinion.

I prefer a shower curtain, as they can be laundered easily or thrown out and replaced at minimum cost. We have shower doors on our tub right now, and I hate them. We have well water, and nothing seems to take all the water spots off completly. I have heard that WD-40 will work, but haven't tried it yet. I am getting ready to CLR them, and hoping that that works. I wish I could help with more suggestions about the cleaning the doors.

I prefer curtains, you can also toss them in the washing machine on the gentle cycle and they wash nice. In one house I had a door and hated it, it was always so hard to keep clean.

In both of our bathrooms we have shower doors. One is just a shower with a single panel door and I find that one the easiest to clean. I use a magic eraser on it:) Now our upstairs bath is another problem, it has 3 panels on it(it's a bathtub and shower) and it is such a pain to clean!!! We have tried everything from sprays to pwders to a $200 steam cleaner...nothing seems to work! I need some tips on this one too;)

I much prefer shower curtains. Not only can you toss them and replace them cheaply, but you can redecorate your bathroom and change colors with the seaons or holidays with new shower curtains. I have a shower door on my upstairs bathroom and it is the hardest thing in the house to keep clean. What I do now is I buy an all-natural daily shower spray in the grocery store called Method. When I'm taking a shower, which is daily, I just spray the inside of the door before I step out and then rinse the door off. It stays clean this way without me having to scrub it every week and the product is safe to use.

I definatle prefer the shower curtain. I hate the feeling of being boxed in with a shower that has door. The fact that you can easily replace a shower curtain is a big plus. They are very inexpensive and they can be washed. I think the shower doors create more problems than they solve in terms of cleaning.

I much prefer shower curtains to doors, but probably not for the reason you would think. I'm a large woman, and the doors make for a tiny space. I was always bumping my elbows on the doors when trying to wash in the shower. So many bruises and bumps! LOL! I put a little bleach in the bathtub and fill it up with water. I soak the curtain/liner in it (they are vinyl) if I notice them getting yucky. It works very well, and I don't have to buy shower curtains that often. :)

I prefer shower curtains. I don’t mind buying the slightly expensive machine washable shower curtains and put them into the washing machine once they are dirty. In the meantime, I can clean the bath tub and shelves easily. This is one of the main reasons why I didn’t install the shower door although it is quite popular nowadays. LOL

I definitely prefer to have a shower door, but we currently have a shower curtain. More accurately, we have just a shower liner in our shower; we haven't bothered to get a shower curtain yet. It's only my fiance and myself in our apartment, so we decided that we don't need a shower curtain right now.
