How would the world be different if people began to follow their own dreams?

Can following your dreams make the world a better place?
I think reality is what you make of the world. I believe a person can create his or her own reality without having to give up their dream and strive to be what they choose to be in the world. A person can be whatever they may wish; the only question is "does the person have the passion and drive to pursue his or her dream?" Questions like these are always asked but never answered, I think that life is full of turns and road block but it is how we live our life that determines whether we have fulfilled our dreams. So, do you follow your dream ??

Following your dreams can be a wonderful thing. Yet, not all dreams are obtainable no matter how hard you may try. You may want to be a singer, yet have no voice. A super basketball player, yet not able to play the game well. I do think that people should have dreams and try to obtain them as best they can, but I believe they also need to know when a dream is unobtainable and when to let the dream continue to be just a dream. Some people lose all their money and ruin their lives chasing dreams that never become a reality. I am living a dream, it may not be the dream I had when I was 19 or 20, but it is my dream now. I am a wife and mother. I do my best to make sure my life is filled with happiness and joy. I may not be lving the exact life I dreamed of, but it is my life and I am happy living it.

Well said. Many a times life doesn't seem to be as we wanted but we have to adjust and that is how everybody manages in his/her life. Even my dream was to become a judo player from childhood but just because of politics of superior people , I had to leave the game. No my dream is to become a good dad lolz.

I certainly follow my dreams. Not only that, I help people do it also. I found out that people let reality decide about their dreams. They think something is impposible, and so they give it up. But why is it impposible? Is it because this is the reality or because you don't act to change it?
If people would pursue their dreams, it would probably be for the better. With the exception, of course, of evil designs some people have - but I guess you mean the dreams most people have - and unfortunatly, most people give up.
Well, I will never give up my dreams - I have so many of them, and I have a plan how to get them. I am helping a few people to define their dream, and make it come true. This is fun and rewarding by itself.

In regards to following my own dream I could make the world a better place, no one has to give up their dreams, and can accomplish them if they plan what they really want. Yes well life does put up obstacles along the way but the thing is we have to know how to deal with them and overcome them. Yes I have followed most of my dreams.

Although my dream of owning a house hasn't come around yet. I am still working towards it.
And though only parts of my dream has come to light. I can truthfully say that I am living my dream. That being having a great family, owning my own business and working for myself. My life is turning out better than I could have ever hoped for. Yes it does have it down moments, but the good outweighs the bad.

I agree with you. I also think that dreams can change shape too. Perhaps we all live our dreams-sometimes in very small ways, other times in very large ones. I think it depends on what's going on in a person's life. Ultimately, we each live the life we wanted to live-whether we knew it or not.

I think more people should follow their dreams. We are only limited by the limit we give ourselves. Where there is a will there is usually a way.
Not counting things like someone else mentioned, wanting to be a singer and not havin a voice but on the other hand, could you not take lessons and see where it led.
Maybe I am saying that the journey can be fulfilling even if it does not land you right where you intended, but it can get you to a place as good or better.

You are absolutely right.dreams are made into reality when people put lot of efforts to acheive it.Anyone can dream but making it reality is difficult.Only if we dream we can get some better prospects is what i beleive. But one should not go crazy only inorder to acheive what they dream.
I dream of certain things and strive hard to get it but if i fail i will repent for it but will wait for another opportunity to see whether i can grab and make my dream come true.
Dreaming things in a healthy way where it can bring prosperity to the society and for a individual can definitely make world a better place.

I am somewhere in my dream. not exactly what i want, but close... but i've discover a new passion(i don't call it a dream anymore. it makes it impossible to achieve, and i'm already half way doing it. i keep finding interesting things to do along the way. i just don't concentrate on my dreams, it makes me rigid, and static. there are a lot of other things out there that i can do.

i believe we should always strive to make our dream come truth. my father wants me to become a doctor but i wish to be an engineer as its my dream. i know that i'll not be able to become a doctor if my dream is to become an doctor. i am interested in engineering as its my dream and i know we are the best at things we like. i know i can become a doctor but do u think i will love it the way it would love engineering. so we should always fallow our dreams as they can bring up the best from us.

It is needed a great courage and strong mentality to follow one's dreams. The path to achieve dreams are so difficult, but only peole with strong determination can achieve this. I try to follow my dreams, but if I find difficulties are coming too much, then I give up. It depends fully on someone's mental strength.

hi...
this thing is hard to be done.in dreams the person is alone and makes his world according to his own wish.there is no one to stop him to think.if he wishes he would make a garden at the place where the taj mahal or the staute of liberty stands.and if every one has the power to work according to his dreams then u can dream how would the world be??

anyone can do anything, even if they have nothing, or even minus nothing, you can acchieve anything, because the world is us, we make this place, we have to live in it,
A friend of mine, got me to go find this movie, he said it would change my life, like it did his a few years ago, i didn't believe it...
I watched the movie, and my life is changing every day, for the better, i may have not much, but in reality, i have so much, and i keep getting more of what i want and love, so go and find the movie 'the secret' and when you do, watch it a couple of times, it WILL change your life.

I've given up on my real dream. Society and my family messed it up for me. I even tried to keep myself away from the negatavism that I knew would put me behind. Now I live in little dreams and be glad when they come true. I live day by day and hope to see many bright tomorrows. I find happiness in the little things and hope in the bigger things. The big things eventually become small and another Big one comes along. It goes on and on and on.

Cross every mountain,
Swim every stream,
walk every island .
AND FOLLOW YOUR DREAM.
Is that not said very right. What is alife without a dream, wothout an aim. What diiference do you make to society, to your family, to your own kids is what matters at the end of the day. A person who is without any dream, is lifeless to me. And those who have the power to dream, have the ability and guts to cherish it, fulfill it and bring it to reality.
Yes one should go and live up to his dream, strive hard to acieve and attain what he thinks he deserves. One must thrive for it.

Passion and drive, and carefully striving for your dream may help get you where you want to be, or help you attain what you want.
Sometimes, you just may not have the ability to fulfill your dream no matter how hard you try. So sometimes you may have to adjust your dream to the reality of your situation or ability, and live the best life that you can. Everyone can accomplish at least part of their dream.

Well the world would most likely be abetter place, But most people would probably disagree with you if you ever decided to do so and it was something that doesn't relaly do much like pay you not much. Most parents disagree if you want to be something of low pay. But if ever it did happen most people would be through hell... I mean what if someone wanted to conquer the world? then right there you'd have a problem? I can tell you that lots of little kids think they want to do that but later on change their minds (except a few little devils)
