I haven't read any of his stuff as far as I remember. What type of stuff did he write? Was he really good?

He wrote science fiction, and he was an excellent writer. His books are in libraries.

He was magical. He first published "Piano Player" in 1952. I loved "Slaughterhouse 5" personally. His last novel was "Timequake" which was published in 1997. He was also a renowned playwrite and artist. His creativity was like a never ending fresh water spring. I cannot believe he was 84. What was your favorite Vonnegut?

I'm sad to hear of his passing. As a youngster, the first non-juvenille book I ever read was Cat's Cradle and I fell in love with it. I agree that he is a magical writer.
