Refferal payments?

"For each person you send to myLot you will receive 25% of their earnings." I'm confused. Lets say that User1 reffered me to this site. after one day, I make $1.00 worth of posts. Now, does this mean that I get $1 and User1 gets $0.25 or does this mean that I get $0.75 and User1 gets $0.25? Which is correct? If it is the second one, I will be very dissapointed as I would only make 75%.
