Do you feel annoyed when you get WRONG NUMBER CALLS again and again?

wrong nos. some times are enjoyable but excess would lead to annoyment.my phone number is very close to a local carry out dinners number, I kept getting carry out calls day and night, until my brother got the bright idea to start taking orders and telling the people if they could get to the dinner in 15 mins. they'd get free Fry's:) we still have the same No.LOL

Ya, even i feel frustrated when I receive wrong call again and again. Actually, I am using a Hutch CUG connection and I guess, it was previously used by a person by name "Koli". I used to often get a call asking this name and I used to say that "its a wrong number". One day a guy called up and I said wrong number and cancelled the call. He once again called me and said, He just now gave me the number and how could it be wrong. I said, no it is wrong number and cancelled it once again. But that bugger, called and several times like this and I got pissed off and fired him like anything. After that only, he stoped calling..

In the US, you can ask the phone company to track prank calls. You call the phone company immediately after receiving a prank call. After three such calls, the phone company will contact the caller (but without telling you their identity or phone number).The phone company just told me there is nothing that can be done if the phone line is blocked and they do not stay on the line long enough to be traced. The only option is to get a new phone line and make it private.a day after I filed my complaint, their prank calls department got back to me and offered to set up monitoring on my line so that I could have individual calls traced and reported. Yes, i do get annoyed when receiving wrong numbers many times. But there were also instances where there will be repeated wrong numbers enquiring for the same person. I used to have a number where i used to get frequent wrong calls asking for a particular university's enquiries. I used to get at least 1 or 2 calls asking regaring admission, etc. I felt really annoyed about it and tried to find out the real phone number of that university and fianlly found in the news paper and i was rather surprised to see that the number shown for that university resembled very much like my mobile phone number, when added their code number. Then only i realized that that's the reason i was getting calls asking for university enquiries. Then i had changed that number to avoid further confusions and now i am not getting frequent wrong numbers except once or twice, but the funny part is that i am getting wrong numbers these days only from oustation numbers rather than local and i once even got a wrong number from United States in the middle of the night asking for anther person!!

It's annoying really. I experienced receiving several calls from people who were asking about their bank accounts. And if I remeber it right, I think there were 8 calls in just 10 minutes. That was really annoying, that I hung up on most of them. When I called up our tel company, it seems that our number was used previously by some bank and it got disconnected. Unfortunately for me, they just transferred the line when I applied for a phone so now I'm using a second-hand phone number.
