If you see a HUGE pile of napkins left on another table...

would you take them? Some people feel that they need to ensure they take an entire tree back to their table in the form of napkins, use three or four, then leave the rest. If I ever see this, I take them and use them. Any I can't use, I take with me. I'm very picky about throwing something away that hasn't been used. I put ketchup packets, salt, and un-opened straws back. I have put napkins back as well, but usually I just put them in my glove box.
So are you one who likes to empty the napkin dispenser when you have a cheeseburger? Or would you use extra napkins (or ketchup) from another table?

On another table? As in one formerly occupied by another group of people? Holy no! Of course not! How would I know if the napkins are dirty? At the least, they might have been flooded by saliva already. :P
I will take napkins from the counter or from the dispenser only. And, I will only take enough for my table. Why waste unnecessarily?

Well sure, if there is a dirty one on top, I leave it. But the rest are fresh and clean, then I take them. I guess you would never want to go eat with me then, cuz you'd never know where I got the napkins, huh?? You can tell if a napkin has been drooled on already, I'd leave those behind.

I always put back the unused ketchup and mustard as well as honey or jelly packets. It is really wasteful otherwise. One of my pet peeves is going through a fast food drive up, for one hamburger and getting home and finding 6-8 packets of ketchup in there! They are just throwing money away doing that! Napkins? I can't remember the last time we bought any. Hubby tends to bring extras home all of the time!

I remember one time I went to Arby's. I just got one Arby's burger with fries. I got home and had a least 10 ketchups, a handful of horsey sauce, and 12-13 arby's sauces! Talk about OVERKILL!! I was planning to go back and complain, or wite someone, but I never got around to it. I like how McDonald's doesn't give you any unless you ask for them.
Taco Bell always asks if I was hot sauce and I always say no. Not once have I manged to get a bag without them. So why do they bother asking??

Whenever Im out to eat I dont take napkins or anything else. Its not for us take. These people buy these things so when can use them when we are eating at their restaurant. I feel as thou they are not for us to take.

I'm talking about when people get way too many to use and they are going to be thrown away. Instead of letting them be thrown in the trash, I use them.

I would save on tissue too but if its on another table, Im not sure of the hygiene of it so I wont use it but I guess to wipe the table that will do.

And I've seen people who take half the disenser when they don't even have very much food. And many of them just throw them away, about 20-30 unused wasted napkins for no reason. That's what bothers me.

woah... no way, I'd go the whole way to the counter to ask for napkins if I had to! Wasting something isn't good but hygiene should come first... especially if you can afford it!

I'm sorry...but I would never use anything left on a table from the previous users.
Call me paranoid, but I would fear that there could be something wrong with them.
You never know. The person that touched those items could be sick.
That person could have used the bathroom and failed to wash their hands.
Now, traces of their urinal and feces could be on that ketchup packet or napkin.
And where does a napkin go when you are using it in an eating establishment?
Right in your hands or to your mouth. No...I just can't do it.
LOL I guess that is why I do not eat in a fast food place that often.
I would much rather bring it home. ha ha

Yes, ChaJud, If I see a lot of napkins on the table near me and I think that I would need some more for myself I would take a few of them. Sometimes I will take catsup but lately I do not enjoy catsup with my fries anymore so that is good for me.
