MyLot Tags/Keywords - How Often Do You Use Them? - I'm Confused.

In my opinion, you should tag whenever it is possible to do this. You just type few words everytime you post,it is not that complicated. I think most of the people will tag. I will always fo tagging, no matter i start a discusson or respond to a discussion. That is what mylot suguest members to do when the yget the chance to tag. It may improve the tagging directly as mylot will scan through your tags to see how well you are answering to the discussions, tagging also improve the chance for another user to search your discussion topic and reply it.

If a discussion already has tags that are appropriate, I just his 'skip'--no need to add extra tags if there are already ones that describe it well. I'll also add tags if one of the existing ones is misspelled (which sometimes happens with users from so many countries).

Sometimes it really gets me crazy when you are asked to tag a comment that you made or response, etc. This is especially true when you have started the discussion and tagged it already! Why would you want or need to tag it again? I do however tag when I respond to a new discussion.

I tag everything I write here on mylot- New discussions, new responses, and comments- whenever it asks me for tage or skip them I add tags- Tags are to help others find discussions when they are searching mylot- So not onlydo it give your response, discussion more chance to be looked at it helps others not post the same things. I read once that tagging items does add money- Not sure how-- But it doesn't take long- so I just tag. Hope this helps!

Wel I know most people will say I am wrong, but I HATE tagging, and if I do it at all, it's just very general stuff like "people, life" or whatever. My server is slow - so the tagging system slows the whole process down even further, and it really annoys me! And I never, EVER read the tags on other peoples' - or on my own posts come to that. So personally think it is a waste of time!

I tag every time it asks. I believe it helps with earnings... They help posters and mylot administration sort discussions you know it is an organization thingee.. You are aiding in their filing system so it is probably a plus to tag..

I have always used the tags , every time I see it I use it , When I started here someone kindly told me that it helped my discussions and my earnings and that some users worked their way by the tags , I have just gotten used to it , It can be done so quickly and if it helps then why not , I think most My Lotters do it welcome and have fun , it is a brilliant site with brilliant people x

Like you I always used to tag all my responses until I realized that only about one in ten ever showed up under the discussion. I still always tag discussions I start. I dont undersand why myLot ignored most of my tags as they were always completly relevant to my response and therefore the discussion.

I admit I have been skipping tags for so many posts I had. Only recently I started tagging again. Some people said it increases your earnings, but I didn't find that at all I do it anyway now.

I myself always use them i dont know what they represent but use em anyway !

Sometimes I tag other times I don't. I really don't know if it makes a different in the rate of payment.

I tag everything I write now. I don't do it because I feel like it but because they might increase my earnings. If someone else started the discussion and they tag it, I am not sure why I need to tag it since it is the same discussion. It seems like a waste of time. I would love to know if we are getting more for doing this.

The tag systems helps organize and categorize every discussion and comment. All you do is pick out key words from your discussions and you can use as many as you like to tag your discussion or comment. For instance, here I would use the tag 'mylot' because it is a question about mylot. It will help your discussion become more visible to others if you use tag words.

I always tag every discussion i start at mylot. but i dont think that is helping to increase earning. i think tag is only use for keywords. but maybe it is effecting on our earning. but i think u need to tag every discussion u start. and dont tag on replier or responses bcoz it is not effecting but maybe your own discussion tag is effecting on your earning.

I always tag every reply that I post. I think it is a good system that is widely used on the internet, it helps to get more responses to discussions. I don't really know whether it affects our earnings but mylot staff do advocate tagging so I suppose they must be giving it some consideration. Besides, I have seen discussions of people who earn higher amounts of money here and most of them do say that tagging does have an effect on earnings.

Well I don't know for sure if it helps your earnings or not but I figure it can't hurt. I tag everything, discussions I start, responses, and even images I upload. Even if it doesn't effect your earnings directly it can in other ways. Tags help the search engines to place your discussion so that others can find it. The more people that find it and post to it then the more people can earn. Same goes for when you are looking for a discussion to post to. The more you can find that you would be interested in the more you are likely to earn.

I almost have almost always used tags on all of my discussions and responses. I thought that this was going to earn us more money, but I really haven't noticed any difference in earnings whether I add them or not.

I use tags on discussion that I start in the hope that it will reach a wider audience. I like the tags as they link similar discussions and then I can reply to several similar ones depending on my mood. I was adding tags to discussions I commented on but they did not seem to get to the general discussion are the ones I put on personal to me? I wondered if only a certain number were allowed. So now I skip it sometimes.

Tag can help you to get more respond, people can find your discussion from your tags. So you need to type your keywords everytime you start or respond a discussion. I don't know excatly its that any affect or not on your earning, but if you type it maybe you will have a lot of respond so that will be affect to your earning

Ok put it like this I never ever tag because i find it some what stupid if you really think about but I can not tell you what to do.
