Have you ever noticed that certain things that your parents or grandparents did when you were growing up.....really seem to stick with you....without you even noticing.
My grandpa always used to get on to us kids and anybody els that would leave the lights on after leaving a room.
Here lately I have noticed more and more....that I'm starting to do the exact same thing. My bf and his son both are very bad about leaving the bathroom light on after they are done in there and I find myself turning it off several times a day and always saying...."please turn off the light when you are done....electricity is not free you know".
It's almost like I was being brainwashed as a child...lol.I never realized how much that stuck until just now.
So are you turning in to your parents and what are the things you noticed that you do the exact same way as they did or are you even aware that you do the things they did?
I just thought this was funny.....because it really snuck up on me.

I had to laugh when I read this, as I was only thinking the other day why I do things and say things my mother used to say! I was warming my hands in front of the fire and was rubbing my hands together just like my mom did - strange what you pick up even unconciously!

Well, not so much behaviors, but my grandmother use to sear that turpentime was a cure all for any type of muscle ache, and my great grandfather use to sewar that black salve was the best thing for an infection or a cut. The funny thing is, turpentine really does help sore muscles and black salve has tar in it which does draw out infection or anything else in a sore that doesn't belong there!
