Six to eight hours is normally enough... sometimes a little less does the trick. Given that I am on a normal sleeping schedule (sometimes it gets a little twisted and I have to take Melatonin to get things back in line), I go to bed between midnight and 1am and am up between 6 and 9 am. I am not a morning person yet I like to be up early... people may find this weird, but I loathe the feeling that I have wasted X hours of the day sleeping.

I'm just sleep around 5 hours a day. But in holiday i can sleep more than 10 hours a day. There is my hobby sleeping.
I think 8 hours is enough for young people, maybe they need less than 8 hours.

Frankly speaking, you are so lucky.I only sleep 6.5 hours per day.Cause i have a lot of work to do everyday,i sleep few hours. There is another reason, that is my roomates are so energetic that they sing and play until 1the next day late at night.I nearly can't stand.Although i often complain about that, but i seems to be useless. How pity i am.I'm almost crazy!I really want to teach them a lesson so much.

I think that you being able to bet 8 hours a day is great. I am also 22 years old, and I get around 5-6 hours a night. I found that between work, and my life there really if just not enough time in the day for me to get the 8 hours that we are supposed to get. On the weekend when I am not having to go to work, I make up for the time that I missed. I usually sleep like 12 hours or so on the weekend. i dont know how healthy that that is, but that how I sleep.

Different people need different amounts of sleep.Children sleep more than grown-ups - perhaps fourteen to eighteen hours soon after birth. Most people need at least 8 hours of sleep every night, and lack of sleep can seriously affect concentration and memory.I sleep seven hours a day.I sleep 12:00 at night, and get up 6:00 in the morning.

I usually sleep between 5 and 6 hours a night. It really depends on the time I go to bed. I tend to read a lot after we take the dogs out. I tend to take sudafed at night to get to sleep.

I need about 5 to 6 hours of sleep and will only wake up after 7.30am, nothing earlier than that else will be very tired for the rest of the day and I will look very sleepy, thus could not focus on the things that I am doing.
I am more a night person; I do not sleep until it passes midnight every night. I might doze off at 10 of 11 pm but will wake up again, then I will stay up till it past midnight, and I am wide awake between 12am and 2am, most of the time, I will spend my time on the net surfing.

I sleep about 7 hours a night, if I am lucky, that also includes getting up to my son about 2 to 5 times through the night. It depends on what time my kids get up in the morning too.

LOL, greensun, you are so lucky to have 8 hours of sleep. I can only manage to get 6 hours of sleep or less. I have too much work to do and it seems that I can't afford the luxury of sleeping anymore. As for you, 8 hours are good enough for your age.

I sleep at least 8 hours a day sometimes even 11-12 hours especially when I am tired. If I sleep less than 8 hours I am cranky and sad all day long and make people around me miserable. So I see how getting enough sleep everyday is important.
