Feeling Worse Today!

United States
April 16, 2007 9:00am CST
After deciding not to go to my Uncle's party, I curled up in a blanket for the night and relaxed. I went to bed at a decent hour. Took my meds and went to bed. I thought that after a good night's rest I would feel better. Instead, I wake to find I can barely lift my head from the pillow. My Son called this morning and thought he had the wrong number. I answered the phone in a very raspy voice. He thought it was a man who answered the phone. So, after I respond to a few discussions I am off to the kitchen to make some turkey soup. Maybe a good bowl of hot soup will knock this back a bit. Happy Posting!

ooh, look after yourself, I do sympathise, I've been hovering on the edge of being ill for a few days now and its just making everything so hard to do. Most important to keep you fluids up and get some extra sleep if you can.

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling even worse today and hope that you get well my friend and take it easy and rest. I have done the same things as you and felt worse at times the next morning but maybe the meds are just kicking in. Chicken noodle soup is supposed to be good for you and help you when you are not well but hope your turkey soup helps. Get well soon my friend.

The turkey soup did wonders. I made it with extra broth. We usually have soup with our meals at least 4 times a week. I will make a pot at the beginning of the week. I doubt this pot will make it more than 2 days. Everyone is coming down with some kind of a head cold.

that's sad. it's not nice to get sick. the feeling is awkward and very uneasy. whenever i am sick, i am just in bed and do nothing. i just rest and sleep and eat and take my meds. and usually, the following day, i feel better already. but there are days when i am sick for days and i hate the feeling. whenever i get better, i am happy and feeling relieved. hoping to never get sick again.

I don't know how I missed this one yesterday. I'm sorry. I hope you are feeling better today. Make sure you get plenty of rest and drink a lot. Many people around me have been sick too. So far I have been lucky enough not to catch it but I probably will.

Ugggh sweetie you got the crud! sounds like your in for a slow week of barely wanting to move! I know of what you describe. You jus t ache all over and feel like someone tied a sandbag to your feet huh? Take good care of yourself, drink lots of water - flush flush flush it through you. Rake "Airborn, and Echinnecia (sp) that will help you heal a bit faster. I wish you well my friend- take it easy on you this week!

I'm glad you stayed home, and hope you get better soon. Besides hot soup, do you have anything for vitamin C at home? Can a friend bring you some fresh citrus fruit? Wrap yourself well in bed with a hot water bottle; try to sweat it out.

Just when you thought spring was coming and it was safe, you got sick. I am so sorry. I think I have talked with about 10 people who are sick in the past week, more then I did all winter. Now, forget about myLot and go to bed and get better.

Oh Sorry to hear you are poorly. I didn't quite know you were not well. It is easy to feel groggy under the blankets and usually in the evening one feels worse if they are ill. I always found the evenings to be heavier when I was ill. Do you find that the same with you? I do hope you get better soon. Please take care my friend.

Please Be Better - get well
I'm so sorry I missed that you were sick sweet butterfly. Since it's 3 days later, I don't think you will find the, "Hope you get Better Soon" quite as sincere; but I really mean it~Donna

I am not surprised that you didn't go to your Uncle';s party. From your description you sounded pretty bad. Sinus has a habit of developing into a secondary condition, in which case you may need antibiotics. I'm not telling how to treat yourself, but I know from experience that sinus can be very nasty & debilitating. Good Luck

You poor thing! YUCK! I hate it when I get that sick. I hope the soup helps. My husband and my grandpa swear by a straight shot of something hard like whiskey or vodka. Just a shot and it helps break it up. I can't drink something like that very well so I have never tried it. I hope you feel better soon. I'm sure those meds will kick in pretty soon.
