I recently became interested in scrapbooking and I attended a Creative Memories workshop. I had so much fun and realized that I could actually do scrapbooking and I was creative enough to accomplish something with it. Creative Memories have some great products and they last a long time. Has anyone else used Creative Memories products? If so did you like them?

I am personally not a big fan of Creative Memories just because everything seems to be just so. So many people's books end up looking almost exactly the same.
But I know tons of people who swear by them and truly deeply love the products and are 100% loyal and use nothing else.

thanks for posting an alternate view. I'm trying to decide if I should go or not. I think I will just check it out at least.

I love the workshops that creative memories consultants hold. :) They are great and you can get so much done.
Parties are fun too. I love getting together with friend and making those story books. I'm looking forward to the one I'm attending at the end of this month.

I've heard of those Creative Memories workshops. What are they all about...what do you do there? That's great that you had fun! It is difficult sometimes to get creative, but once you learn a bunch of techniques it seems like you never run out of ideas. I'm sure I've used their products, I just can't think of any specifics. Basically I love scrapbooking! Lol.

At the workshops you get to see their new products, buy stuff if you want, and scrapbook the whole time. I'm going to a 2-day one this weekend. It's Friday night from 6 to 11 and then Saturday from 9 until 4. It's just going to be a bunch of us scrapbooking, looking at the new products, getting to try some of the products out, and just having fun. I never thought I could do this but after that first workshop I was like wow I can scrapbook. I'm going to another party in a couple of week and at the partys you make a little storybook and it's a lot of fun. The parties allow people who do not have their products or who are wanting them to hear about them and to test them out.

thanks for posting this. I hope you read this. I'm curious about a few things. I live in Canada and looked online. there is actually a consultant for Creative Memories right in my neighbourhood! I want to contact her but first I have a question to ask you about it. Are the products a lot more expensive than other products? Can you do one on one consultations with the consultant? Also I'm pretty experienced already with scrapbooking and am on my third one but always looking for new ideas. Do you think a creative memories consultant could help me?

I have another question. Does anyone know the answer to this? When I look online at the consultants names in my area. Most of them have under thier title the letters CON which is obviously "consultant" but there is one who has the letters UL under her title. What is that? thanks

Sorry it took so long to write back. I've been pretty busy. I'm not sure what the UL means. I think a consultant could really help you. Mine has been great and I'm moving soon so I'm thinking about becoming a consultant myself since there isn't one in the area. Their products aren't really more expensive then other places. I went to Hobby Lobby and they had teh straight edge cutter for $20.99, The Scrapbooking Store had the exact same one for $21.99, and Creative memories has it for $19.50. I know it's not a lot less but it's still less. Their products are a really good product and made well too. They even have a warranty on their albums and such. I would contact the consultant in your area. She can give you a catalog and tell you tons more about it. I bet you will love it.

My sister is a Creative Memories consultant, so much of my scrapbooking experience is centered around this company. Their stuff is great, and I really love the workshops--they are a great place to meet other scrapbookers and get fantastic ideas.
I highly recommend the company to anyone who likes to scrapbook!

I met a distributor at an open house about 2 years ago and was really amazed at all the products. Their program and supplies really make it easy to put together some nice memories of your children, grandchildren, etc. You may want to check out becoming a consultant with them.

I know I am responding to this post late but wanted to throw my 2 cents in. LOL I guess more than one way on that one. I started using some of their products in 98. That was before the craft stores started carrying everything under the sun for the craft. I used some of the store products since then and those albums are falling apart. I think that Creative Memories albums are the best in the market. Yes maybe a little on the expensive side but anything that you want to last is.
