I think that people who choose this can live just fine, but I think that there are certain things that they have to be careful. My friend was vegan and she was unable to afford her supplments. She became very, very ill. But before that when she had her supplements she was one of the healthiest people that I knew.

I assume you do not mean vegan. Many people confuse the two. For me, meat is the best way to get all your amino acids. There are some that are present in meat that are not in plant matter. But, if you consume dairy products, you should be able to do fine. Also, there are some combinations of plant matter that can make complete proteins if you eat them at the same time. An example of this is rice and beans. I would say be careful and make sure you are getting all your vitamins, proteins, and amino acids. If you are vegetarian and not vegan, you should have no problem. There are also supplements that can help. Vegan diets are more strict and I wouldn't recommend them to growing children.
Happy eating!
