prajaktramteke yes it is.AESA detects stealth aircraft very efficiently than passive ones and with low detectability bcause of high bandwidth and optimization against x band radars.so its a necessity in an interceptor also.

prajaktramteke actually Indian airforce wanted to have more of Mirages in their inventory but the government told that this i.e. MRCA should be procured by releasing tenders and contract.so i think rafale was obvious due to same make Dassault and typhoon's swing role...
