Lead us not into temptation..

I have never understood this part of the Lord's Prayer..How can God lead us into temptation? Is this a mistranslation of the original?? If it is, they need to fix it..just my opinion

puritz120890 Hi, there are many versions of the bible, in the Jerusalem Bible, which is the version usually used for Biblical Studies, this part is translated us "DO NOT PUT US TO THE TEST, BUT SAVE US FROM THE EVIL ONE." I think this is self explanatory. Thanks for giving...
