rosettaresearch See. If you are teaching a lesson in savings, your gift should reflect that lesson. Especially, as you have proven, it is possible to be nice and inexpensive.

rosettaresearch I can see getting a special one for someone. but even nice special ones can be found really cheap. I think its just the $31 that gets me, when I KNOW there are nice cheap ones out there.

rosettaresearch Excellent point about teaching kids to save. They have banks with different slots (for less than $31) for things like saving, spending, donating -- so the kids learn charity -- and other things.

rosettaresearch Sure it's cute, but you can get cute for a lot cheaper. One suggestion I have seen if giving a piggy bank for a gift is to seed it with some change already. So, spend less and use the rest as starter money.

rosettaresearch Exactly. If you must have a special container, there are ones that are A LOT cheaper. Even the electronic ones that keep track of your change for you.

rosettaresearch But, you can get an excellent one for less than $10. Then you can put the rest of that $31 into savings. If you spend it on the bank, you can't save it. And the cheapers ones last just as long, increasing your savings.

rosettaresearch Yeah, but I doubt the Queen has credit cards to pay off. Nor do other rich people. They are the only ones with money to spare right now. So they should be spending it to allow the rest of us to keep our jobs.

rosettaresearch I don't want to see the Frat Boys win. It is one thing to have setbacks like bad taxies. It is another to just race stupid, which they do. So, I will be really annoyed to see them win.

rosettaresearch Actually, last season the Father/Daughter team made it to the final 3. Thankfully, they did not win. They were annoying. I am so afraid, given the history of the Race that Nick and Starr won't win. I don't mind how they treat other teams DURING the race....

Just when all seems bleak, I made a sale. Actually 2 sales. I sold my lap quilt and an Alien yarn buddy. There is hope. I was so upset, I was thinking of closing my shop. Now, I can keep it open. Well, off to replace my stock....

Just when all seems bleak, I made a sale. Actually 2 sales. I sold my lap quilt and an Alien yarn buddy. There is hope. I was so upset, I was thinking of closing my shop. Now, I can keep it open. Well, off to replace my stock....

rosettaresearch Things will get better. Especially for a thrift shop. People still "new" things, they just don't have as much money, so thrifts are a fantastic idea.
