Would you contine watching CSI Miami if they killed Eric Delko?

I was wondering if any of you would stop watching CSI Miami if they killed off Eric Delko? I know I might be upset but i think I'd still watch even though it wouldn't be the same. Why do shows need to kill off main chacters?

I'm so happy! I was so afraid they were gonna kill Eric off. But he's alive. Hopefully the bullet didn't do too much damage. I cried though at the end when the tear rolled down his face as he remembered that Marisol had died.
