Can anyone help me please? I have been trying to signup to new writing site I found called Factoidz but its not letting me signup! I haven't previously been a member there!

Can anyone start a paid article site?

I'm a member of a few paid article sites but I'm not sure how a lot of them make money. Is it just from advertising? and can anyone just up a site like Helium etc and how would you go about it?
