Making Christmas Candy Gifts -- Recipes?

I want to make chocolates or peanut brittle or something as Christmas gifts for my family (to save a little money this year). Does anyone have a great recipe for something not super complicated that will pack and ship well?

snuphi Cute! I don't have a cake decorator kit. Do you think I could do small spoonfuls? Maybe using two spoons to make a little round? I'm not sure if they'd harden properly if that big. What do you think?

snuphi Thanks for your response. I've done roast in the crock pot before, but I've never marinated it first. Do you marinate it in the broth? Nice idea. Thanks!
