If you saw a man push or hit a woman in public what would you do?

You hear them arguing and suddenly the man pushes the woman back against a car or building or hits her how would you react? Would you step in or would you call the police? I saw this once and called the police right away only...

ok. i have a pond in my backyard. i have bluegills, largemouth bass, and catfish in it. sounds great, huh? now, picture all the water covered in green algae. see the problem? i can't get through the moss, so i can't catch any...
