ant-virus for free. does it work?

I have used some free edition of anti-virus but I think they don't really work and worst to say, some had left damages in my computer. Let's face it everybody loves free stuff right? But beware, some may just bring you more virus...

dinos1 Hello! I know of a free antivirus that actually works, AVG.. You can find it at the PCworld downloads section, as well as other good ones, but this one in particularly is updating automatically once a couple of days.
