Were there earthquakes in the region before 1945 when the bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? I sometimes wonder if they didn't help along some of the instability of the teutonic plates in that area. Am I crazy? I also...

Chiang_Mai_boy Japan sit on top of the junction of three tectonic plates and has always been prone to earthquakes. The Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs were rather miniscule in there release of energy compared to the energy released during a major earthquake.

I'm just listeneing to a documentary on BBC World Service about Aparteid in the 50's. It's just unbelievable, I've heard of it but I've never been taught about it. I can't believe it was allowed to happen and happen for so long....

jeanneyvonne My two cents on why was the apartheid allowed to happen is that people on those eras have a certain way of thinking. This certain thinking revolves around themselves and their agendas - not for the comfort or convenience for a fellow human being that happens...
